This PAMASE bunk carpet is engineered for heavy-duty marine use: it’s 8mm thick for added protection, long enough to cover typical bunk boards fully, and made from low–water-retention polyester that holds up outdoors. The extra length and 12-inch width accommodate both 2×4 and 2×6 bunk constructions and can be trimmed for other protective needs around the dock or yard.

How does this carpet make launching and retrieving my boat easier?

The 8mm pile balances low friction for smooth launching with enough grip for safe, controlled winching. It minimizes sudden shifts during loading so the hull seats evenly on the bunks, reducing stress at contact points.

Low-friction polyester fibers help the hull slide into water smoothly

Sufficient grip prevents uncontrolled slipping during winching

Uniform cushioning reduces pressure points and dings on the hull

Extra length covers bunk ends to avoid exposed wood-edge contact

Will this carpet fit my trailer bunks and survive outdoor conditions?

Yes — the mat’s 13ft length and 12in width cover common bunk board sizes and provide full end coverage for most trailers.
