Its single-sheet aluminum construction avoids welds and weak joints, while the supplied heavy-duty cable ties, foam spacers and adjustable bungees make installation fast and secure. Whether you’re a courier, weekend camper, commuter or pet owner, this accessory increases usable deck area and helps keep tall or bulky items from wobbling or tipping during rides.

How does the Granny Wheels expander attach to my existing rear rack?

Installation is straightforward and tool-minimal: the platform rests on your current rack and is fastened using the included industrial-strength cable ties. Foam spacers and supplied cutters let you adapt the fit to different tube diameters and raised rack edges for a snug, rattle-free mount.

Mounts on top of most rear racks, trunks and tail platforms.

Comes with 12 mm wide high-tensile cable ties that conform to different rack shapes.

Includes foam spacers to protect rack tubing and prevent shifting.

Fasten, trim the ties, and the platform is ready for cargo in minutes.

What loads and uses is this cargo platform suited for?

The wide, open-grille surface is made to carry everything a large basket or pannier can hold plus irregular items that don’t fit inside fixed containers. It’s aimed at delivery cyclists, commuters carrying luggage or groceries, adventure cyclists who prefer strap-on systems over panniers, and owners of e-bikes or scooters who want a more stable platform for tall or irregular cargo. Note: the platform increases carrying area but your bike’s existing rack attachment strength and manufacturer rating determine maximum safe load.

FAQ

Q: Will this fit my rear rack?

A: Yes—its universal design uses wide cable ties and foam spacers to adapt to most rear racks, trunks and tail platforms.

Q: Can I carry heavy loads on it?

A: The platform is rigid, but overall safe load depends on your bike’s rack rating and mounting strength.
