Game Room & Backyard Games

From the basement rec room to the backyard, this range collects games for family gatherings, cottage weekends and league nights. You'll find steel- and soft-tip darts from Viper by GLD Products and RED DRAGON, dartboards, CUESOUL billiard cues, JOOLA table tennis balls and paddle sets, MVP Disc Sports disc golf bags, plus cornhole bags, ring toss, mini foosball and giant tic-tac-toe. Decide early whether you want casual play or regulation equipment, because league darts and cornhole follow fixed sizes and distances.

Choose materials for where the game will live. PVC frames, galvanized stakes and duck-cloth bags cope with damp lawns better than untreated wood. Indoors, measure wall space and throwing room before you order a dartboard. For pitch layout, read our cornhole rules and board sizes, or go straight to cornhole boards and bags.

Game Room & Backyard Games: frequently asked questions

How high should a dartboard hang, and where is the throw line?

For steel-tip darts, the centre of the bullseye sits 173 cm (5 ft 8 in) from the floor and the oche, or throw line, is 237 cm (7 ft 9.25 in) from the face of the board. The diagonal from the bullseye to the oche should read about 293 cm. Soft-tip leagues usually throw from 244 cm (8 ft), so check which darts you play.

What makes cornhole bags and boards regulation?

Under American Cornhole League rules, boards measure 2 by 4 ft with a 6-inch hole centred 9 inches from the top edge. The top of the board sits 12 inches off the ground and the front edge 2.5 to 3.5 inches, and boards are set 27 ft apart, front edge to front edge. Bags are 6 x 6 inches and weigh 15.5 to 16.5 oz. Many backyard sets use 14 to 16 oz bags, which work fine for casual games.

Which disc golf discs should a beginner start with?

A three-disc set with a putter, a midrange and a fairway driver covers most holes and is easier to control than a distance driver. Many new players find lighter discs easier to throw straight. Glow discs charge under a flashlight or UV light and let you finish a round after sunset.
