Hiking Pants

Cotton and stretch-cotton pants are comfortable on short, dry summer walks but hold moisture and feel cold once wet. Lightweight cotton capris work well in hot weather, where drying speed matters less.

How do hiking pants sizes work?

Men's hiking pants are often sized by waist and inseam, such as 36W x 34L, while women's and kids' pants usually use letter sizes like M, L or XL, or age ranges. Can I wear hiking pants in winter?
