What size soccer ball does my child need?

Canada Soccer's grassroots standards use a size 3 ball up to U7, size 3 or 4 at U8 and U9, size 4 from U10 to U12 and size 5 from U13. Your club's age-group rules have the final say.

How do I choose the right shin guard size?

Shin guards are sized by height, so use the brand's chart rather than shoe size. The guard should cover from just below the knee to just above the ankle without restricting bending, and ankle discs add protection for younger players.

What is the difference between a futsal ball and a regular soccer ball?

A futsal ball is usually a size 4 with a heavier, low-bounce build that stays on the floor in a gym. A regular outdoor ball bounces too much indoors, so a futsal ball is the better choice for winter training.
