What safety equipment do I need on a paddleboard in Canada?

Transport Canada requires a properly sized, Canadian-approved PFD or lifejacket and a sound-signalling device such as a whistle. A watertight flashlight is needed after sunset or in poor visibility. If you are not wearing your PFD, the longer canoe and kayak list applies, including a buoyant heaving line.

What PSI should I inflate my SUP to?

Follow the maximum pressure printed near your board's valve, which is often between 12 and 20 PSI for inflatable boards. Electric pumps with a preset gauge, such as the SereneLife models, switch off automatically at the pressure you set.

Will a replacement fin fit my paddleboard?

Check your fin box type first, most often a US box or a slide-in clip system. Each fin lists which boxes or boards it fits, so compare that with your board's manual before ordering.
