Hockey Skates

This is a range of recreational and entry-level hockey skates for public skating, outdoor rinks and a first season of shinny, not stiff elite boots. For growing kids there are adjustable skates from MammyGol, CCUNSZI, JGMLZK, WELLWON and Nattork that lengthen through three or four sizes, and PJIRBZGG makes an adjustable pair in larger sizes for teens and adults. Adults returning to the ice can choose the TOUR TR-750 senior skate, the 5th Element Stealth, or the Jackson Ultima Softec Sport with its Thinsulate-insulated boot and factory-sharpened blade.

Brand-name hockey skates usually run smaller than street shoes, but many skates here are listed in shoe sizes and the 5th Element Stealth is described as true to size, so read each listing's size note rather than guessing. Laced snug, the heel should stay put when the skater bends the knees, and the toes should only just brush the toe cap. On adjustable models, set the length for the foot the child has today, not next winter's. Our hockey skate sizing guide walks through measuring at home, and blade guards and other add-ons are in skate accessories.
