DisplayGifts 11.5 x 16 Pin Display Case, Small - Black Finish with 98% UV Protection and Black Felt

DisplayGifts 11.5 x 16 Pin Display Case is a handcrafted beech hardwood shadow box with a black felt interior and an acrylic door that blocks 98% of UV light to preserve pins, medals, and small keepsakes.

This display box combines solid furniture-grade materials with a low-profile, gallery-ready design so collectors can show pins, campaign buttons, sports pins, enamel pins, or lapel jewelry without worry. The case arrives fully assembled with metal hanging brackets and wall hooks for quick installation. Its satin furniture finish, brass hardware, and black felt backdrop make colors pop while the acrylic door protects against dust and most light-related fading.

How does the UV protection help preserve my collection?

The acrylic door filters approximately 98% of ultraviolet light, reducing the risk of fading on pigments, paper inserts, and enamel finishes. While not a substitute for museum-grade conservation, this level of UV screening significantly slows color change from sunlight and bright indoor lighting.

• 98% UV-blocking acrylic door reduces UV exposure to displayed items.
• Black felt background minimizes visual glare and enhances contrast.
• Half-inch spacing between foam and door prevents contact with pins.

What are the box’s size and installation details?

The outer dimensions are 16" high by 11.5" wide and 2.25" deep, with an interior viewing area of 15" by 10.5". The shallow depth keeps the display close to the wall, ideal for narrow hallways or gallery walls, and the case ships fully assembled so you can hang it immediately.

• Overall: 16" H x 11.5" W x 2.25" D; interior: 15" H x 10.5" W.
• Built-in metal brackets and included wall hooks for immediate mounting.
• 0.5" space between foam front and acrylic door to protect items from rubbing.

Which materials and finishes are used, and how do they affect appearance?

The frame is handcrafted from furniture-grade beech hardwood and finished to highlight the wood grain while resisting wear. Brass hardware provides a classic accent and the black felt interior creates a neutral, museum-style backdrop that brings out fine details and color contrasts of pins and medals.

• Handcrafted solid beech hardwood frame with furniture-grade finish.
• Black felt background for superior contrast and reduced reflection.
• Brass hardware for a polished, durable accent.

How many and what types of items can I display?

The interior accommodates a variety of small collectibles—enamel pins, campaign buttons, lapel pins, and small medals—arranged in rows or clusters. The foam backing makes it easy to push pins in and reposition them without tools, and the shallow depth is optimized for flat or low-profile items.

• Ideal for campaign buttons, enamel pins, sports pins, and jewelry pins.
• Foam backing accepts pin posts for flexible layouts and easy repositioning.
• Designed for flat or low-profile items; not for deep or bulky 3D objects.

Who is this for: Collectors, campaign memorabilia enthusiasts, small-business owners who sell or display pin-based merchandise, and anyone wanting an elegant, ready-to-hang presentation for pins and small flat keepsakes. If you prefer a hand-finished wooden frame with protective UV filtering, quick wall mounting, and a museum-style black felt backdrop, this DisplayGifts shadow box is built for that purpose.
