vhbw 42V 2A Replacement Charger for Segway Ninebot Scooters — 9.8 ft Cable, 8mm RCA Plug, Safety Protections

The vhbw 42V 2A replacement charger is a compatible power adapter for many Segway Ninebot and compatible 36V electric scooters, featuring a 9.8 ft cable and an 8mm RCA round barrel plug for reliable everyday charging.

If your original scooter charger is lost, damaged, or you need a second unit for travel, this vhbw charger offers a straightforward, safe way to keep your 36V (marketed 42V adapter) Ninebot-compatible scooter ready. It supplies a regulated 42V DC output at 2A, accepts wide-ranging mains input (100–240VAC), and includes internal safeguards to reduce risk from short circuits, over-voltage, and over-current events. The long power cord and compact housing make it convenient to store in a bag, at home, or in a vehicle.

Which scooters will this charger work with?

This adapter is designed for Segway Ninebot models and many scooters that use a 36V battery system with an 8mm RCA round barrel plug. It is compatible with ES and MAX families and several other models that accept a 42V/2A input.

• Compatible examples: Ninebot ES1, ES2, ES3, ES4, ES3 Plus, ES1L, E22, E22E, E25, E25A, E45, E45E.
• Also fits: Air T15, D18W, D28U, D38U, F25, F30, F30S, F35, F40, F2, F2 Plus, F2 Pro.
• MAX series supported: MAX G30LP, MAX G30P, MAX G2 models using RCA round plug.

How safe and stable is the charging performance?

The charger includes built-in protections to help preserve battery life and reduce charging risks. It provides steady current and voltage regulation suited to everyday commuting and routine battery top-ups.

• Protections: short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-current safeguards.
• Output flexibility: supplies 42V at 2A but will work safely with devices that draw 2A, 1.5A, 1A, or 0.5A.
• Wide input range: 100–240VAC supports international use with the proper plug adapter.

What should I check before buying this replacement charger?

Match both the voltage and the plug type—those are the two critical compatibility factors. This charger is not universal and will not fit scooters with different voltage ratings or non-RCA plug styles.

• Confirm your original adapter specifies 42V (for a 36V battery system) or your scooter documentation lists a 42V charger requirement.
• Verify the plug: this unit uses an 8mm RCA round barrel tip, not a three-prong, XLR, or square connector.
• Do not use with 24V, 25.2V, 29.4V, 48V or other differing-voltage scooters—doing so can damage the battery or charger.

Why choose a spare vhbw charger with a long cord?

A second charger makes charging flexible and less stressful, especially for commuters and frequent travelers. The 9.8 ft cable gives more placement options and avoids being tethered to a single outlet.

• Long 3 m (9.8 ft) cable lets you plug in while positioning the scooter comfortably.
• Compact adapter body stores easily in backpacks or glove compartments as a travel spare.
• Practical for households with multiple scooters or for keeping a charger at work.

Who is this for: Riders who own Segway Ninebot or compatible 36V electric scooters that accept an 8mm RCA round barrel plug and need a dependable replacement or backup charger. It’s ideal for daily commuters, travelers who want a spare unit in a bag or car, and owners seeking a durable, regulation-compliant power adapter. Do check your scooter’s voltage and connector before purchase to ensure compatibility.
