A&R Sports Hockey Wrist Guard, Black — Molded Polyethylene Insert, Terry-Cloth Lining

A&R Sports Hockey Wrist Guard in black is a padded, contoured wrist protector with a terry-cloth lining and a molded polyethylene insert designed to shield wrists during play.

Built for hockey players who want practical, low-profile protection, this wrist guard pairs soft comfort with a rigid inner insert to help dissipate impact. The guard’s contour shape keeps it close to the wrist for unrestricted stickhandling while providing padding where falls and collisions most commonly stress the joint. A&R Sports has made accessories like this for over 20 years, focusing on simple, effective designs that fit easily under gloves.

How does this wrist guard protect my wrist during play?

The molded polyethylene insert adds a firm layer beneath the exterior that helps spread force over a wider area, while the padded shell cushions blunt contact. It’s not bulky, so it protects without reducing mobility.

• Rigid molded insert absorbs and redistributes impacts
• Padded exterior reduces blunt-force contact
• Contoured fit keeps protection over vulnerable areas

Will it be comfortable to wear with my gloves?

The inside features a terry cloth lining that feels soft against skin and helps manage sweat during sessions. The guard’s contoured profile is designed to slip under most hockey gloves without bunching or creating pressure points.

• Terry cloth interior for comfort and moisture management
• Contour shape minimizes bulk under gloves
• Slim profile keeps wrist articulation natural

How durable and low-maintenance is the wrist guard?

Constructed with molded plastic reinforcement and a terry-cloth exterior, it balances durability and easy care. Light surface cleaning or spot washing keeps the guard fresh; the materials are chosen to withstand regular practice and game use.

• Molded polyethylene insert resists deformation from repeated impacts
• Terry-cloth exterior tolerates routine cleaning
• Stitched seams and compact construction reduce wear points

What sizes and fit should I expect?

The wrist guard is offered to fit snugly around the wrist with a contour that suits most adult and teen anatomies. Because it’s designed to be slim, choose the size that keeps the guard close to the skin without pinching under your glove.

• Contoured shape adapts to common wrist profiles
• Designed to sit under gloves without shifting
• Available in sizes that cover youth through adult players (check size guide)
