Built for long outings, tailgates, fishing trips and food transport, the Tundra Series uses a specialized phase-change material that solidifies at 5°F (-15°C). Instead of the cold source melting and warming your contents, the Tundra pack absorbs heat so frozen food stays solid and cold-sensitive items remain protected. For peak performance, place the pack in a freezer set to at or below -5°F for 24–36 hours until the pack is fully solid.
The secret is a high-performance phase change compound formulated to freeze at 5°F. While ordinary ice melts at 32°F and warms the cooler as it liquefies, the Tundra pack remains colder longer and absorbs more heat per pound, slowing temperature rise inside the cooler.
To get the Tundra compound fully solid, set your freezer to its lowest setting—ideally at or below -5°F—and leave the pack for 24–36 hours. Keep packs stored in the freezer so they’re ready to use; if left at higher temperatures they’ll soften and deliver reduced cooling time.
Tundra is designed to produce colder starting temperatures than standard reusable packs and to outperform bagged ice in longevity and convenience. Unlike melting ice that becomes puddles, the Tundra panel contains melting inside its casing, keeping contents dry and removing the need to continuously buy bags of ice.
The Tundra Series is built for repeated use but requires the correct freezer temperature to unlock its full capabilities. Avoid puncturing or cutting the shell; if the pack is breached, dispose of it responsibly according to local regulations.
Who is this for? The Arctic Ice Tundra Series X-Large 5 lb pack is ideal for anglers, caterers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone transporting frozen goods who needs reliable, extended cold. It’s particularly useful when you want freezer-like protection without the wet mess of melting bagged ice—perfect for long road trips, multi-day camping, event coolers, and professional food delivery. If you want a reusable, heavy-duty cold source that prioritizes keeping frozen items solid, the Tundra Series delivers optimized freeze-point performance and durable, no-mess cooling.
Q: How long should I freeze the Tundra pack before use?
A: Freeze at or below -5°F for 24–36 hours until fully solid for best cooling performance.
Q: Can I use this pack instead of bagged ice?
A: Yes — it keeps frozen items colder longer and avoids wet meltwater, though pairing with ice can extend cooling time.
