AuraroTrail Ultralight Backpacking Chair, Khaki, 7075 Aluminum Frame, 330 lb Capacity

The AuroraTrail Ultralight Backpacking Camping Chair is a featherweight, compact folding seat that packs into a small carry bag, supports up to 330 lb, and sets up in about 30 seconds for hiking, camping, and festivals.

Designed for people who prioritize low pack weight without sacrificing stability, this khaki camping chair combines an aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum frame with an ergonomic seat shape and breathable fabric. It folds down to a small cylinder that fits easily inside a backpack or travel bag, making it a practical addition to multi-day treks, day hikes to scenic lookouts, or outdoor events where a reliable, quick seat is needed.

How quickly can I take this chair from pack to sitting?

Setup is meant to be fast and intuitive so you waste minimal time with gear. The simple folding pole design and clear assembly points let most users have the chair open and seated in roughly half a minute.

• Typical setup: about 30 seconds from unpacked to seated
• Single-piece carry bag speeds retrieval and storage
• Light frame and clear pole joints reduce fumbling in low light

Will the ultralight design feel stable when I sit?

Although the chair weighs just 2.7 lb (1.22 kg), its 7075 aluminum frame and reinforced joints deliver a stable platform that holds up to 330 lb. The seat geometry focuses support on the sit-bones for a secure, comfortable resting position on uneven ground.

• 7075 aluminum provides high strength-to-weight performance
• Supports a maximum user weight of 330 lb for confidence outdoors
• Ergonomic seat shape and mesh fabric improve comfort and airflow

What are the packed and usable dimensions — will it fit my backpack?

This chair compresses to a compact size for easy storage and transport, yet opens to a full-size seat suitable for most adults. Check your pack or trunk before ordering to ensure the folded length fits your gear layout.

• Folded dimensions: 4.7" x 4.7" x 13.7" (12 x 12 x 35 cm)
• Unfolded dimensions: 19.6" x 20" x 26.3" (50 x 51 x 67 cm)
• Weight: 2.7 lb (1.22 kg) — easy to carry all day

How does the chair handle outdoor conditions and extended use?

The chair is built for practical outdoor performance: corrosion-resistant aluminum, durable fabric, and a breathable seat to reduce moisture buildup. It's intended for trail breaks, campsite lounging, festival seating, and other short- to moderate-duration sitting sessions rather than continuous indoor use.

• Durable 7075 aluminum frame resists wear in wet or dusty environments
• Breathable mesh fabric improves ventilation during hot conditions
• Carry bag protects components and keeps pack organized

Who is this for? The AuroraTrail Ultralight Backpacking Camping Chair is ideal for backpackers, fastpackers, day hikers, and festival-goers who need a dependable, low-weight seat that won’t dominate their pack. It's also a good match for anyone who wants a quick, sturdy chair for viewpoint breaks, light camping, or outdoor photography sessions where mobility and compactness matter. If you need a heavier-duty camp recliner or intend to sit for many continuous hours at a fixed basecamp, consider pairing this chair with a more substantial seat; otherwise, this design balances portability and support for most outdoor adventures.
