BalanceFrom Olympic Bumper Plates 15lbs Pair, Black, 2" Steel Hub Low-Bounce Rubber

BalanceFrom 15LB pair color-coded Olympic bumper plates are high-density rubber weight plates with a stainless steel hub, sized for 2" Olympic bars and built to absorb impact with minimal bounce. These bumper plates are designed for everyday lifting, garage gyms and commercial-style training—offering clear weight labeling in both pounds and kilograms plus a bright color code for quick identification. The plates pair a tough rubber exterior with a corrosion-resistant steel insert so they slide on and off Olympic bars easily and resist wear from repeated drops. They’re intended for standard 2" sleeves on barbells, dumbbell bars, or sleds and provide a stable, low-bounce feel compared with bare metal plates.

How do these bumper plates hold up to repeated drops?

The high-density rubber composition absorbs shock and reduces bounce when dropped, protecting floors and reducing noise. The solid stainless steel hub reinforces the plate around the bar opening to prevent deformation and makes loading simpler.

• High-density rubber outer layer resists cracking and splitting under impact.
• Stainless steel inner ring prevents wear and keeps the collar round.
• Designed to minimize rebound for safer, controlled drops.

Will these plates fit my equipment?

Each plate has a 2" (50 mm) inner diameter to fit any standard Olympic barbell, dumbbell bar or sled with a 2" sleeve. That makes them compatible with the most common strength-training bars used in home and commercial gyms.

• 2" inner ring diameter for universal Olympic compatibility.
• Works with Olympic barbells, 2" dumbbell bars, and many sleds.
• Steel hub smooths loading and protects the rubber at contact points.

What do the color coding and dual labeling provide?

Color coding speeds plate selection during workouts so you can change loads at a glance, while each plate is marked in pounds and kilograms for precise programming and international use. This is especially useful in fast-paced sessions, classes, or when multiple lifters share equipment.

• Bright color for immediate visual identification during sets.
• Labels show both lbs and kgs for cross-system tracking.
• Consistent color scheme supports quick pair matching and storage.

Are there any handling precautions?

These plates are built to withstand drops, but smaller plates can be vulnerable when used alone on a barbell. Avoid repeatedly dropping lightweight plates (commonly 10 lb or similar) by themselves, and always use proper lifting technique and collars to secure loads.

• Avoid dropping 10 lb or similarly light plates alone on a loaded barbell.
• Use collars to prevent shifting and to protect the hub and sleeve area.
• Store plates flat or on racks to prolong rubber and printing life.

Who is this for? These BalanceFrom 15LB bumper plates are aimed at lifters and coaches who want a durable, easy-to-identify weight option for Olympic-style training. They work well for home gym owners upgrading from metal plates, small fitness studios needing color-coded sets for classes, and athletes who want lower-bounce rubber plates with a robust steel hub. If you need Olympic compatibility, clear weight labeling, and a plate built to handle routine drops while protecting floors, this pair offers an economical, reliable choice.
