Bauer S19 Performance Skull Cap, Black — Slim Moisture-Wicking Under-Helmet Fit, Silicone Rear Band

The Bauer S19 Performance Skull Cap is a lightweight, breathable under-helmet cap that wicks moisture and stays secure during high‑intensity hockey play.

The S19 Performance Skull Cap by Bauer is designed to keep players comfortable from warmups through the final buzzer. Crafted from a stretch blend, this slim-profile cap slides easily under helmets to manage sweat, add a low-profile layer of warmth, and reduce slippage without bulk. Its hockey-specific fit and silicone rear band help the cap remain stable during rapid movement and aggressive checking, while embroidered branding provides a clean, pro look.

How does the cap manage sweat and heat on the ice?

The fabric blend is engineered to pull moisture away from the skin for faster evaporation, helping keep the scalp drier and reducing sweat drip into eyes and equipment. The slim construction also prevents heat buildup beneath helmets compared with thicker liners.

• Moisture-wicking polyester blend accelerates evaporation
• Stretch fibers keep the fabric snug, preventing gaps where sweat pools
• Low-profile thickness reduces trapped heat under helmets

Will it stay in place during intense shifts and quick stops?

Yes—the skull cap includes a silicone band at the rear that grips against helmet liners and hair, while the stretch fit holds the cap close to the head. Together these features minimize movement so the cap won’t bunch up or slide during turning, checking, or sprinting back for the puck.

• Silicone rear band for added grip
• Flexible spandex blend conforms to head shape
• One-size design accommodates most head sizes without loose areas

Can I wear this skull cap for practice, games, and off-ice use?

The S19 is versatile enough for on-ice practice and games as well as off-ice warmups or cold-weather wear. Its sleek profile makes it comfortable under helmets during play, and equally at home under a knit hat or alone during cool-weather training.

• Slim fit fits comfortably beneath hockey helmets
• Durable construction holds up to repeated use and washing
• Neutral black color and subtle Bauer embroidery suit all team gear

How do I care for the skull cap to maintain fit and performance?

Care is straightforward: gentle machine wash in cold water and air dry to protect the elastic fibers and silicone grip. Avoid high heat in dryers to preserve stretch and the embroidered logo’s appearance.

• Machine wash cold, gentle cycle
• Air dry; avoid high-heat tumble drying
• Do not bleach or use fabric softener to maintain wicking ability

Who is this for: The Bauer S19 Performance Skull Cap is ideal for hockey players at every level who want a slim, secure under-helmet layer that manages sweat and stays in place during play. It suits competitive athletes who need reliable moisture control and a comfortable fit, recreational skaters wanting extra warmth without bulk, and coaches or trainers looking for a durable, low-profile headwear option.
