BBB AeroBase Aluminium Two-Piece Tri Bars for Road Bikes Single — Foam Armrests, Adjustable Reach

Designed for triathletes and time-trial riders, the BBB AeroBase combines a two-piece aluminium construction with foam armrests and an ergonomic bend to help you hold a more aerodynamic posture without sacrificing comfort. The clamp-style mounting makes installation straightforward on common road handlebar diameters, while adjustable length and two armrest positions let you fine-tune reach and support for different events or body positions.

How do these aero bars change my riding position?

The AeroBase shifts your upper body into a deeper, narrower stance to reduce frontal area and improve aerodynamics. Its ergo-bend angle promotes a tucked posture that aligns shoulders and forearms for a sleeker silhouette on the bike. The foam armrests offer cushioning so you can hold the position longer during time trials or triathlons.

• Ergo-bend shape encourages a lower, more streamlined torso.
• Foam padding reduces pressure on elbows and forearms.
• Two armrest placement options to optimize comfort and clearance.

Will the AeroBase fit my handlebar and how easy is it to install?

The two-piece clamp system fits standard road bars with 26 mm or 31.8 mm diameters and secures with a simple bolted clamp. Installation requires basic tools and can be completed in minutes, allowing quick transfers between bikes or removal for group rides. The clamping design also provides a stable connection so the extensions feel solid under load.

• Compatible with 26 mm and 31.8 mm handlebar diameters.
• Two-piece clamp for straightforward mounting and removal.
• Durable aluminium construction for reliable rigidity.

How adjustable are these tri bars for fit and event type?

The AeroBase gives you length adjustability along the extensions plus two choices for armrest placement, letting you dial in reach and forearm width. These adjustments help you find a balance between aerodynamic efficiency and sustainable comfort for longer efforts. Fine-tuning the set-up can make a measurable difference in comfort and control during races.

• Telescoping/slide length adjustment to change reach.
• Two armrest positions let you vary width and support angle.
• Lightweight aluminium allows easy repositioning without added bulk.

What materials and comfort features does the AeroBase use?

Constructed from aluminium, the AeroBase keeps weight low while offering dependable stiffness for consistent handling. The armrests are finished with foam padding to absorb vibration and reduce pressure points during sustained aerodynamic positions. All visible components are finished in matte black for a race-ready look that pairs with most road setups.

• Aluminium two-piece design balances weight and strength.
• Foam-padded armrests for added comfort on long efforts.
• Matte black finish for a discreet, race-oriented appearance.
