Better Hockey Extreme Sauce Launch Pad training surface — 16 x 24 in, ice-like glide for saucer passing, weatherproof

Better Hockey's Extreme Sauce Launch Pad is a 16" x 24" training surface that recreates ice-like glide for saucer passes and puck practice, indoors or out.

Lightweight and built in Canada, this 16×24 pad gives players a portable, weather-resistant surface designed to mimic the feel of real ice so you can practice accurate saucer passes, one-touch plays, and power shots without a rink. At 3/16" thickness it balances durability and smoothness, helping protect stick blades while enabling realistic puck behavior with standard pucks.

How does the pad help improve saucer passing and puck control?

The launch pad produces a consistent, low-friction plane so pucks slide true and predictable. Practicing on a small, reliable surface builds timing, release mechanics, and target accuracy for saucer passes used in games and drills.

• Simulates ice glide to refine wrist and snap pass technique
• Consistent puck response for repetition-based skill training
• Compact size encourages focused, repeatable drills
• Works with regular pucks for realistic feedback

Can I use the Extreme Sauce Launch Pad outdoors and will it last?

Yes — the pad is UV-protected and weatherproofed so you can practice on driveways, patios, or backyard rinks without rapid wear. Its 3/16" thickness provides enough resilience for heavier shots while remaining portable.

• UV protection prevents sun degradation
• Weatherproof treatment resists moisture and temperature changes
• Durable thickness withstands slap shots and regular use
• Made in Canada with quality materials for longevity

Will my sticks and pucks be protected when I train on this pad?

The smooth surface reduces abrasive contact between stick blades and rough ground, extending stick life compared with practicing directly on concrete. Pucks also move more naturally, lowering erratic impacts that can damage equipment.

• Protects stick blades from rough surfaces
• Reduces wear on puck edges through even glide
• Provides consistent rebound to avoid unpredictable hits
• Helps maintain equipment performance between rink sessions

How portable and versatile is the 16" x 24" size for drills and games?

The 16×24 size is big enough for meaningful passing and shooting practice yet small enough to carry in a bag or store in a car. It fits backyard setups, driveway training, and indoor basements, making it a flexible tool for individual or small-group drills.

• Compact footprint for easy transport and storage
• Ideal for solo practice or small group drills
• Works with mini goals or target markers (goal not included)
• Quick deployment for spontaneous training sessions
