Big Agnes Rapide SL camping pillow, Orange — ultralight inflatable with 4" ergonomic loft

The Big Agnes Rapide SL Camping Pillow is an ultralight, packable inflatable pillow designed to deliver supportive, soft head comfort for backpacking and car camping without weighing you down.

Small and engineered for the trail, the Rapide SL pairs stretch nylon comfort with durable aviation-grade TPU lamination so you get a soft, warm sleeping surface that resists tears and punctures. At just 1.6 oz (45 g) and packing down to roughly 4" x 2.5" x 2", it integrates easily into a minimal kit, fits in Big Agnes pillow pockets, and inflates quickly with a single-port valve.

How comfortable is the Rapide SL for side and back sleepers?

The pillow's low-profile ergonomic thickness and offset I-beam interior provide consistent loft and support whether you sleep on your back or side. Four-way stretch nylon creates a soft, textile-like surface that feels more like a regular pillow than typical inflatable camp pillows.

• Ergonomic 4" height keeps head aligned without excessive loft.
• Offset I-beam construction prevents cold spots and maintains shape.
• Four-way stretch top enhances cushioning and conforms to your head.

How easy is it to inflate, deflate, and pack away?

The Rapide SL uses a minimalist low-profile, single-port two-way valve for fast inflation and rapid deflation. A silicone flap accepts the valve top for quick dumping of air, while a micro-release button lets you fine-tune firmness in small increments.

• Quick-inflate single-port valve speeds set-up on the trail.
• Micro-release button for precise firmness adjustments.
• Packs into included stuff sack that compresses to a compact travel size.

Is this pillow durable enough for rugged use?

Built with high-tear-strength, four-way stretch nylon and aviation-grade TPU lamination, the Rapide SL resists abrasion and punctures better than many ultralight alternatives. The construction balances minimal weight with technical durability so it stands up to repeated outdoor use.

• Aviation-grade TPU lamination for reliable air retention.
• High tear-strength nylon resists snags against rough ground.
• Hand wash recommended to protect materials and extend lifespan.
