CE Smith Trailer Roll Carpet for Boat Bunks, Black, 18" x 18' — Marine‑Grade Polyester, Low‑Absorbency

CE Smith Trailer Roll Carpet is a weather-resistant, marine-grade 18" x 18' polyester carpet roll built for boat bunks and trailer boards.

If you need a durable, low-absorbency surface for bunk boards, boat trailers, or small marine projects, this carpet roll delivers a practical, long-lasting cover. Constructed from 100% PET polyester with a resilient backing, it resists water retention and stands up to regular outdoor exposure while providing a protective layer between hulls and wood or metal trailer parts.

How does this carpet protect my boat or trailer?

The carpet acts as a cushioning barrier that reduces abrasion and scuffs on gelcoat and painted surfaces. Its fibrous face and sturdy backing distribute pressure and help prevent concentrated wear on trailer bunks and boards.

• 100% PET polyester pile protects against rubbing and surface damage
• Durable backing holds carpet in place on boards and bunk systems
• Minimal water retention reduces mold, mildew, and rot risk on wood bunks
• Designed to fit common 3x8 or 3x4 trailer boards for simple installation

Is this carpet suitable for saltwater and outdoor exposure?

Yes — the material and construction are made for marine environments. The polyester fibers shed moisture more readily than many natural fibers, and the backing helps maintain shape and adhesion under wet conditions.

• Marine-grade polyester resists fading and deterioration from sun and spray
• Low water absorption minimizes trapped moisture on bunks
• Works year-round when secured properly to outdoor trailer boards
• Limited one-year warranty covers manufacturing defects

What are the dimensions, weight, and fit details?

The roll comes 18 inches wide and 18 feet long, sized to cover standard bunk boards commonly used on small and mid-size trailers. The carpet's weight and pile density balance protection with ease of handling for installation and replacement.

• Width: 18 inches; Length: 18 feet per roll
• Designed to cover either a 3x8 or 3x4 board without excess trimming
• Weight approximately 16.1 ounces per square yard for durable coverage
• Trim and glue or staple to fit nonstandard or custom bunk configurations

How do I install and maintain the carpet for best results?

Installation is straightforward: measure and cut the roll to the board length, then glue or mechanically fasten the carpet to the bunk. Routine rinsing and occasional drying will prolong appearance and performance.

• Cut with a utility knife to match board lengths and end caps
• Use marine-grade adhesive or stainless fasteners for secure attachment
• Rinse with fresh water after saltwater exposure to limit salt buildup
• Allow bunks to dry periodically to prevent trapped moisture under the carpet

It suits DIY installers, marinas replacing worn bunk coverings, and anyone upgrading trailer bunks to a low-maintenance, marine-centered material.
