Champion Sports 11" Safety Softballs Optic Yellow, Pack of 12 - Medium-Compression Sponge Core

Champion Sports 11" Safety Softballs are medium-compression training balls with a soft sponge-rubber core and synthetic leather cover designed to reduce sting while keeping a realistic softball feel.

These optic yellow training softballs are built to bridge safety and performance for practices, physical education classes, and youth leagues. The 11-inch size and raised seams mimic the grip and flight characteristics of a standard softball, while the firm-but-yielding sponge core lowers impact force on catches and throws. Sold in convenient packs of twelve, they offer teams and coaches a durable, visible, and cost-effective option for repetitive drills and skill development.

How do these safety softballs feel compared with a regulation ball?

The medium compression construction delivers a play experience close to a standard softball without the same hard impact. Players can practice typical throws and fielding motions while experiencing reduced sting on contact, making drills more comfortable and confidence-building.

• Firm but forgiving sponge rubber core for controlled bounce and softer catches
• Raised seams recreate finger placement and spin similar to regulation balls
• Medium compression keeps trajectory and speed comparable to game balls

Are these softballs durable enough for regular practice use?

Yes — the synthetic leather cover resists wear from frequent handling and turf contact so the set holds up through repeated drills. The cover material is stitched and finished to withstand gripping, spiking, and routine outdoor use without losing shape quickly.

• Synthetic leather resists scuffs and abrasion for longer service life
• Stitched seams maintain seam integrity for consistent grip and spin
• Bright optic yellow finish keeps balls easy to find in grass or gym settings

What makes these softballs safer for younger or developing players?

The key safety feature is the sponge rubber core, which absorbs more impact energy than a standard solid core ball. This reduces the force felt by catchers and batters during drills, lowering the risk of painful impacts while still training realistic mechanics.

• Soft sponge core lowers sting from throws and catches
• Medium compression balances safety with authentic ball behavior
• Optic yellow color increases visibility to reduce missed plays and collisions

How do teams and coaches use a pack of twelve most effectively?

A dozen balls cover group drills, station work, and practice rotations without constant retrieval. Coaches can set up simultaneous throwing, hitting, and fielding stations or replace worn balls quickly to keep sessions moving and efficient.

• Ideal for group training, PE classes, and league practices
• Multiple balls enable continuous drill flow and quicker skill repetition
• Cost-effective bulk packaging simplifies equipment management
