CHAMPRO Umpire Face Mask 18oz Lightweight Hollow-Wire Steel Black Adult with Dri-Gear Moisture-Wicking Pads

CHAMPRO’s 18oz Lightweight Umpire Face Mask is a hollow-wire steel mask with moisture-wicking Dri-Gear Ergo-Fit pads and an adjustable harness for secure, all-day comfort on the diamond.

Built to protect without weighing you down, this adult-size umpire mask combines a slim, hollow-wire steel frame with washable synthetic padding that pulls sweat away from the skin. The frame’s geometry extends past the ears, throat, and forehead to guard vulnerable areas while keeping vision clear. Quick-removable hook-and-loop pads and a multi-adjust harness make cleaning and fit adjustments straightforward between games.

How does this mask protect while staying lightweight?

The mask uses hollow-wire steel to deliver impact resistance at just 18 ounces, making it noticeably lighter than many full-steel models. The open-frame design reduces bulk so you can track pitches and plays without neck fatigue.

• 18 oz hollow-wire steel frame for rebound impact resistance
• Frame extends beyond ears, throat, and forehead for extra coverage
• Open-wire geometry for less weight and improved sightlines

Will the padding stay comfortable and dry during a long game?

Yes. The synthetic Ergo-Fit pads use CHAMPRO’s Dri-Gear technology to wick moisture away from the face and maintain cushioning. Pads attach with hook-and-loop straps so you can remove them quickly for washing and reattach without tools.

• Dri-Gear moisture-wicking padding to reduce sweat buildup
• Ergo-Fit shape conforms to the face for stable cushioning
• Hook-and-loop straps for fast pad removal and cleaning

How do I get a secure fit with different head sizes?

The mask includes an adjustable harness designed to accommodate a range of adult head sizes and maintain a snug fit throughout the game. The harness fastens securely and can be tuned for comfort so the mask won’t shift on foul tips or sudden movement.

• Adjustable multi-point harness for personalized fit
• Harness designed to keep the mask stable during play
• Easy adjustments allow quick on-field tuning between innings

How does this mask fit into a full umpire kit or maintenance routine?

The Lightweight Umpire Mask pairs easily with chest protectors, shin guards, and other umpire accessories and is offered on its own or as part of CHAMPRO’s Varsity Umpire Kit. The quick-release pads and removable harness simplify cleaning and storage after games.

• Compatible with CHAMPRO chest protectors and leg guards
• Available individually or bundled in the Varsity Umpire Kit
• Removable components make post-game cleaning faster

Who is this for? Umpires and officiating crews who want reliable face protection without the bulk of heavier masks will appreciate this CHAMPRO model. It’s suited to adult umpires across baseball and softball levels who prioritize clear sightlines, moisture management, and easy maintenance between games.
