CHAMPRO Rookie HX batting helmet mens, Black, Size Small — vented ABS shell, NOCSAE certified

The CHAMPRO Rookie HX Batting Helmet in black is a lightweight, vented batting helmet sized Small (6–6½) that balances visibility, airflow, and NOCSAE-compliant protection for youth hitters.

Built as part of CHAMPRO’s HX line, the Rookie helmet brings a combination of impact foam, an ABS shell, and moisture-managing liners to the field. Its vented shell helps reduce trapped heat while the weight-optimized design minimizes fatigue during long batting sessions. The helmet accepts a screw-on faceguard (sold separately) and is produced with a Bio-Fresh finish to help control odors between uses.

How does this helmet improve airflow and keep hitters cooler?

The HX Rookie features multiple strategically placed vent holes that allow warm air to escape and fresh air to circulate around the head. This passive ventilation helps reduce overheating in hot weather and during extended plate appearances.

• Vented ABS shell channels air to lower internal temperature
• Weight-optimized design reduces insulation against heat
• Contour-molded DRI-GEAR liner wicks sweat away from skin

What protection and safety standards does the helmet meet?

CHAMPRO designed the Rookie HX with an impact-absorbing foam liner within a durable ABS shell to manage impact forces. The model is manufactured to meet NOCSAE performance standards, making it suitable for organized play that requires certified headgear.

• Durable ABS outer shell resists high-impact forces
• Impact foam liner cushions and distributes impact energy
• Compatible with screw-on faceguard for jaw and face protection (faceguard sold separately)

How comfortable is the helmet for younger players and long games?

Comfort was prioritized through a lightweight shell and a contour-molded liner that reduces hot spots and friction. The DRI-GEAR moisture-wicking padding draws sweat away from the skin, while Bio-Fresh treatment helps maintain a fresher interior between cleanings.

• DRI-GEAR liner minimizes moisture build-up and chafing
• Weight-optimized construction reduces neck strain over time
• Bio-Fresh treatment helps control odors during repeated use

Which size fits and how do I choose the right one for my player?

The Small CHAMPRO Rookie HX corresponds to head/hat sizes 6–6½, commonly used for T-Ball and younger youth players. CHAMPRO also offers Medium and Large sizes to cover older youth and adult head sizes—measure hat size or head circumference to match the correct category.

• Small: fits hat/head size 6–6½ (this listing)
• Medium: fits hat/head size 6½–7
• Large: fits hat/head size 7–7½

Who is this for: The CHAMPRO Rookie HX Batting Helmet (Small) is aimed at youth and T-Ball players who need a certified, lightweight helmet with added ventilation and moisture control.
