Connelly Youth Nylon Life Vest for Girls — USCG Approved, Adjustable Straps & Hinged Foam

This youth nylon vest from Connelly is built to keep young paddlers and watersports enthusiasts safe and comfortable. It uses vertically hinged foam segments that move with the body, plus child-specific features such as built-in crotch straps and a secure belt closure. The breathable nylon shell and tunneled webbing straps reduce chafing and heat buildup, making it well suited for long summer days on the water.

How does the vest help my child move freely while staying protected?

The vest’s vertically hinged segmentation lets the foam panels flex independently, which increases range of motion for paddling, swimming and reaching. It stays snug without restricting the shoulders or torso, so kids can stay active without feeling boxed in.

• Hinged foam panels for natural torso movement
• Three adjustable straps for a secure, customized fit
• Tunneled webbing hidden beneath fabric to reduce rubbing

Is this vest comfortable in hot weather and active use?

Yes — the vest is constructed from lightweight, breathable materials that help wick heat and keep the body cooler than heavier PFDs. The design emphasizes ventilation and reduced bulk so children remain comfortable during prolonged wear.

• Lightweight nylon shell reduces overall weight
• Breathable construction minimizes sweat and overheating
• Hidden straps prevent pinching and skin irritation

What safety features does the Connelly youth vest include?

This model meets US Coast Guard standards and includes several child-focused safety details. A belt-style closure and quick-release buckles enable fast on/off, while integrated crotch straps keep the vest from riding up in the water.

• US Coast Guard approved for reliable flotation
• Built-in crotch strap for infant/child sizes to prevent lift
• Quick-release buckles for speedy removal in emergencies

How do I choose the right size and fit for my child?

Select this vest for children with a chest measurement of 24"–29" and a weight range of approximately 50 to 90 pounds. Use the adjustable straps to snug the vest to the torso—ensure it stays in place when your child lifts their arms, and that the crotch strap is secure for infant/child models.

• Recommended for chest sizes 24"–29" and 50–90 lbs
• Three adjustable quick-release straps for fit tuning
• Check fit by lifting child’s arms to confirm secure positioning
