The DRM Hands-Free Speed Radar is a portable, tripod-mounted device that measures ball and puck speeds up to 199 km/h (124 mph) without a second operator.
Designed for coaches, players and trainers across baseball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and golf, this compact radar sensor records and announces shot speeds while sitting safely behind nets or goals. It combines an easy-to-read LED display with voice output and memory for the last ten readings, and comes with a tripod and carry bag for simple placement and transport.
Place the DRM radar behind a net or goal and let it capture speeds automatically — no partner required to aim the device. The included tripod gives stable positioning on varied surfaces and lets you angle the sensor to line up with shots for better accuracy.
The sensor measures velocities up to 199 km/h (124 mph), covering the needs of most field and court sports. It stores the last ten speed results and announces readings with a pre-recorded voice while also showing numbers on a bright LED screen for remote viewing.
DRM’s radar runs on five AA batteries (not included) and includes an automatic battery-saver mode to extend runtime between sessions. For safety, always position the device behind protective netting or barriers — never aim objects directly at the unit.
Use the DRM radar to quantify improvements, compare players and set measurable targets during batting, kicking or serving drills. Its hands-free operation keeps coaches focused on instruction while the device captures and announces speed automatically.
Who is this for: The DRM Hands-Free Speed Radar suits youth and adult athletes, private instructors and team coaches who want quick, objective speed readings for baseball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, golf and similar sports. It’s especially useful where a single coach or athlete needs a standalone, easy-to-position device to collect reliable speed data during regular practice.
Q: Does the DRM radar need a second person to operate?
