Easton Black Magic 3.0 Youth Catcher's Set, Navy, Size Large Ages 9-12 — NOCSAE certified, articulated leg guards

The Easton Black Magic 3.0 Youth Catcher’s Set is a complete, youth-sized helmet, chest protector, and leg guards package built for mobility, coverage, and game-ready protection.

Designed specifically for young backstops, this navy Easton set balances protective materials and ergonomic shaping so players can move freely while staying shielded from foul tips and wild pitches. Every piece is cut and articulated to fit youth proportions, reducing bulk and bunching so coaches and parents get a dependable, long-wearing kit for practices and games.

How does the helmet protect vision and impacts?

The helmet pairs a centered viewport with a high‑tensile steel mask to give catchers a clear sightline while keeping the face and skull defended. The shell and mask are engineered to meet NOCSAE standards, and sizing details help match fit to head circumference and hat size.

• Centered viewport for unobstructed forward vision
• High‑tensile steel mask disperses impact energy
• Fits 6 1/8"–7" hat sizes and 19 3/8"–22" head circumference
• NOCSAE certification for approved play

Will the chest protector restrict movement when crouched?

Easton designed the chest protector to resist bunching so it maintains coverage while allowing the torso to flex naturally. Padding layout and panel shaping prevent folds that can block motion, making throws and transitions easier for developing catchers.

• Padded panels that hold shape in a crouch
• Wide coverage without excess bulk across the midsection
• 13 1/2" chest protector dimension tailored to youth anatomy
• Secure straps to keep padding aligned through game action

How do the leg guards support a catching stance and movement?

The leg guards use articulated contour zones so they bend where the knee and shin need flex, wrapping for secure coverage without pinching. Lightweight shells combined with internal padding deliver a balance of protection and range of motion during blocking, blocking drills, and throws to bases.

• Contoured zones that flex with crouch and stride
• Wrap-around fit that reduces gaps at the shin and knee
• 13" leg guard size tuned for youth large (ages 9–12)
• Adjustable closures to maintain position through play

What sizes and age ranges does this set cover?

The Black Magic 3.0 comes in youth-specific options so you can match gear to a child’s growth stage. Choose Youth Medium for ages 6–9 or Youth Large for ages 9–12 to ensure proper protection and freedom of movement as skills develop.

• Youth Medium fits ages 6–9
