Ever Ready First Aid Military Wool Blanket King Size 95% Wool Washable Heavy 8.45 lb Grey

Ever Ready First Aid's military wool blanket is a heavy-duty, washable 95% wool king-size blanket designed to provide durable warmth and multi-purpose outdoor use.

This dense 96" x 108" blanket blends traditional wool insulation with modern washability and a sturdy weave, making it suitable for camping, picnics, car emergency kits, bushcraft, and everyday home use. Triple-washed wool fibers create a soft yet resilient fabric; the 8.45 lb weight and loom-stitched hem show its work-ready construction. The blanket is intentionally free of chemical flame retardants and pairs natural warmth with a modest 5% synthetic content to cut shedding and improve longevity.

How will this blanket keep me warm outdoors?

The high wool content traps air and retains heat even when the fibers are slightly damp, offering reliable thermal performance in changing conditions. Its heavy 8.45 lb build and king-size surface area let two people share warmth comfortably, while the dense weave reduces drafts.

• 95% wool provides natural insulation and breathability
• Thick 8.45 lb construction helps retain body heat
• Large 96" x 108" size fits two adults or covers gear and a sleeping pad
• Performs well when damp—wool maintains warmth better than many synthetics

Is this blanket durable and easy to care for?

Yes—loom-woven construction, hemmed edges, and triple-washed fibers boost both softness and strength for frequent use. The small synthetic blend reduces shedding and improves resilience, while the blanket is machine-washable and softens with each wash, simplifying maintenance after outdoor adventures.

• Sturdy loom-woven fabric resists wear and friction
• Hemmed edges and contrast stitching prevent fraying
• Machine washable for practical cleaning after trips
• Washable fibers soften over time without losing structural integrity

Can I use this blanket for emergency preparedness and travel?

The blanket's size, weight, and flame-resilient natural fibers make it a practical addition to vehicle kits, home emergency supplies, and outdoor gear. It stores easily and doubles as a ground layer, shelter wrap, or extra bedding when plans change unexpectedly.

• Large dimensions cover two people or multiple items in a kit
• Natural wool is inherently fire-retardant without chemical treatments
• Useful for car, camping, bushcraft, and household emergency bags
• Durable enough for repeated outdoor handling and shelter use

What makes this blanket different from cheaper synthetic alternatives?

Wool offers a unique combination of moisture tolerance, insulation, and fire resistance that many synthetics cannot match. The Ever Ready First Aid blanket balances those natural benefits with modern conveniences—reduced shedding, machine washability, and a robust loom—so you get long-term performance and comfort.

• Natural wool insulates while wicking moisture away from the body
• 95% wool composition versus full-synthetic fills for better thermal efficiency
• Triple-washed wool enhances softness without sacrificing durability
• No added flame-retardant chemicals; safer for family use
