Will these covers fit my captain chair?

These covers are made as a universal fit for many standard boat captain chairs but dimensions matter for a proper fit. The listed size is 24" wide by 22" deep by 24" high; compare that to your chair measurements before purchase. The elastic cord and toggle plus the quick-release buckle strap allow some adjustability so the cover can be tightened for a snug silhouette.

• Dimensions: 24"W x 22"D x 24"H — measure your chair to confirm fit
• Elastic cord with toggle for edge tensioning
• Bottom buckle strap secures cover under the chair to resist wind
• Universal design fits most standard captain-style seats

How weatherproof and durable are these seat covers?

Explore Land covers use 600D marine-grade polyester with a waterproof laminated undercoating to block moisture and light spray. Double-stitched seams and seam-sealing tape improve longevity, helping the cover resist tearing and seepage for season-long protection. They shield upholstery from rain, bird droppings, UV fading, dust, and light abrasion.

• 600D polyester fabric with laminated waterproof backing
• Double stitching plus taped seams for reinforced durability
• Protects against rain, snow, dust, and sunlight exposure
• Reduces need for frequent seat cleaning and pre-ride wiping

How easy are they to install and store?

Installation is straightforward: slip the cover over the chair, pull the elastic cord tight and fasten the quick-release buckle beneath the seat. The toggle adjusts tension quickly, and the buckle keeps the cover secured on breezy days. When not in use, the covers fold compactly for easy storage in a locker or under a seat.

• Slip-on design with elastic cord for fast fitting
• Quick-release bottom strap for secure fastening and rapid removal
• Compact folding for convenient onboard storage
• Two covers included to protect both captain chairs or a spare

How do I maintain these covers to extend their life?

Routine care is low-effort: brush off loose debris, rinse with fresh water and mild soap if needed, then air dry completely before storing. Avoid harsh solvents or machine washing which can damage the waterproof coating and taped seams. Proper drying prevents mildew and preserves the laminated backing for longer life.

• Rinse with fresh water and mild detergent for light cleaning
• Air dry fully before folding to prevent mildew
• Do not machine wash or use bleach and strong solvents
• Store in a dry place when not in use to preserve material

Who is this for: Boaters, marina owners, and anyone who wants to protect captain-style seats from weather and wear. These covers suit owners of runabouts, center consoles, pontoon boats, and other vessels where standard captain chairs are used. If you value low-maintenance protection that extends the life of your seating and reduces pre-ride prep, this Explore Land two-pack is a practical, cost-effective choice.
