Exxact Sports Youth Chest Protector Tank Top — Grey YL, Low-Profile EVA Padding & Breathable Mesh

Exxact Sports youth tank-top chest protector (YL, Grey) is a low-profile, padded compression shirt that absorbs impacts while staying breathable and mobile for young baseball and softball players.

This tank-style chest protector pairs discreet protection with an athletic fit so kids can play confidently without bulky gear. Built from a stretch polyester-spandex blend and equipped with a 3D impact shield, the shirt offers targeted coverage across the sternum and ribs while remaining slim enough to wear under a jersey. Mesh zones and low-weight EVA padding were chosen to balance protection, airflow, and freedom of movement for daily practices, travel teams, and game-day use.

How does this chest protector reduce the force of foul balls and collisions?

The Exxact Sports design uses ultra-light EVA pads formed into a three-dimensional shield that disperses impact energy across a wider area. Instead of a single hard plate, the multi-segment padding compresses on contact to reduce peak force transmitted to the chest.

• 3D impact shield layout for energy dispersion
• Ultra-light EVA foam minimizes added weight
• Strategic padding over sternum, ribs, and heart area

Will my child stay comfortable and cool wearing this during long games?

The tank top uses a four-way stretch polyester-spandex knit that fits like a compression shirt, moving with the athlete rather than restricting motion. Breathable mesh panels at the shoulders and lower back promote airflow in high-heat zones so sweat evaporates faster and drying time is reduced.

• Compression fit for secure, non-shifting protection
• Mesh ventilation in shoulders and lower back
• Lightweight materials that reduce bulk under jerseys

Can this protector be worn for other sports and layered under uniforms?

Yes. The protector’s low-profile tank silhouette and slim padding allow it to fit comfortably beneath baseball and softball jerseys, and it’s suitable for multi-sport use in youth football, lacrosse, or general field training. Its form-fitting shape keeps protection in place without creating a noticeable outline under clothing.

• Slim, under-jersey fit designed for pitchers and fielders
• Versatile cross-sport design for baseball, softball, and more
• Unrestrictive arm and shoulder movement for throwing and batting

How should I care for the tank to maintain protection and fit?

Maintain the padding and fabric by following gentle wash instructions and air-drying; avoid high-heat drying that can degrade EVA foam and elasticity. Regularly check seams and padding alignment to ensure ongoing coverage and replace if the foam shows significant wear or permanent compression.

• Machine wash cold on gentle cycle or hand wash
• Air dry flat; do not use high-heat dryer
• Inspect padding after heavy impacts and replace when compressed
