Five Oceans FO600 marine boat horn, Stainless Steel Housing, 120 dB compact 12V deck‑mount

The Five Oceans FO600 is a compact, deck‑mount 12V electric boat horn delivering a 120 dB safety signal in a corrosion‑resistant stainless housing.

This single‑tone marine horn is built for small to mid‑size boats that need a powerful audible warning in a compact package. It combines a rugged stainless cover, simple above‑deck installation and a loud, clear fundamental tone to meet everyday navigation and safety needs on recreational and commercial vessels. The FO600 is designed to resist harsh saltwater environments and fit tight mounting spaces without sacrificing volume.

How loud and clear is this horn for signaling in busy harbors?

The FO600 produces a 120 dB (A) output measured at one meter with a fundamental frequency centered around 440 Hz, giving a strong, penetrating tone suitable for daytime maneuvering and alerting nearby craft. Its single‑tone design prioritizes audibility and recognition over musical complexity.

• Rated loudness: 120 dB (A) at 1 m
• Fundamental frequency: approximately 440 ± 20 Hz
• Single‑tone output for clear signaling
• Suitable for congested or noisy marine environments

What are the electrical requirements and power draw?

This horn runs from a standard 12V DC system and draws about 3 amps when energized, making it compatible with typical small craft battery systems and accessories. Low current draw helps minimize impact on onboard electrical capacity when used intermittently.

• Operating voltage: 12V DC
• Current draw: ~3 A at 12V
• Easy integration with common marine switches or horn buttons
• Appropriate for vessels with ordinary 12V battery systems

How does installation and mounting work on deck?

The FO600 is a sealed, above‑deck horn designed for straightforward installation. The included mounting bracket doubles as a drilling template, and when positioned correctly with the horn angled slightly downward it allows water to drain away from the aperture.

• Deck‑mount configuration with mounting bracket and template
• Recommended orientation: slightly downward for drainage
• Base rubber pad supplied to dampen vibration and protect surfaces
• Simple two‑wire electrical hookup for quick fitting

What are the physical dimensions and which boats is it best for?

The FO600 has a compact footprint so it fits tight spaces on rails, bulkheads or small pilothouses. Its size and output make it particularly suitable for recreational boats, runabouts and many commercial craft up to about 12 meters (39 feet).

• Overall size: 98 mm L x 85 mm W x 54 mm H (3‑7/8" x 3‑5/16" x 2‑1/8")
• Base footprint: 66.7 mm x 41.3 mm; hole spacing: 41.3 mm
• Compact form factor for limited‑space mounting
• Recommended for vessels under ~12 m (39 ft)

Who is this for: The Five Oceans FO600 is aimed at boat owners and fleet managers who need a reliable, high‑output horn that fits in small mounting areas and resists marine corrosion. It suits owners of small to medium recreational craft, tender boats, workboats and commercial vessels that require a clear, regulatory‑style audible signal without a large installation footprint.
