Franklin Sports NHL Street Hockey Goal Replacement Net 72" — 72 x 48 x 30 in, 1.5" Polyester Mesh

Franklin Sports 72" NHL Hockey Goal Replacement Net is a heavy-duty, officially licensed 72 x 48 x 30 inch replacement net engineered to restore worn street hockey goals with durable polyester mesh and reinforced perimeter ties.

If your street hockey net is frayed, torn, or sagging, this Franklin Sports replacement net returns your goal to competition-ready condition quickly and affordably. Built from weather-resistant polyester with a 1.5" mesh pattern and reinforced edges, it’s designed to resist regular use in backyard games, driveways, schoolyards, and league practices. The net ships with two rope tie strings to fasten it securely to any standard 72" wide street hockey frame and carries the official NHL street hockey license for use with 2 5/8" street hockey balls.

How durable is this replacement net under frequent play?

The net uses heavy-duty polyester fibers and a 1.5" mesh that balance puck/ball stopping power with longevity. Reinforced perimeter stitching reduces tear propagation, while the material resists UV exposure and moisture better than untreated cotton nets.

• 1.5" polyester mesh for strength and consistent performance
• Reinforced perimeter to prevent rips from heavy impacts
• All-weather construction suited for outdoor use

Will this net fit my existing goal frame and how easy is installation?

This net is sized for official 72" (W) x 48" (H) x 30" (D) street hockey goals, making it compatible with most standard frames marked 72". Installation is straightforward: drape the net over the frame, align the reinforced border, and secure it with the included rope ties at key attachment points.

• Official 72" size fits standard street hockey goal frames
• Two included tie strings for anchor points; additional ties can be added if needed
• Simple drape-and-tie method — no special tools required

Is this net appropriate for competitive practice or just casual play?

Designed for both recreational pickup games and regular practice sessions, the Franklin net withstands repeated impacts typical of competitive drills and neighborhood play. While it’s built tough, always inspect attachment points and perimeter seams periodically to maintain safe, reliable performance.

• Durable enough for league practice and frequent shooting drills
• Suitable for driveway, park, and schoolyard environments
• Officially licensed by the NHL for street hockey play with 2 5/8" balls

Who is this replacement net best for? Players, coaches, and families who want to extend the life of an existing 72" street hockey goal without buying a new frame will appreciate this net’s balance of durability and value. It’s ideal if you need a quick, reliable swap-in during season prep, for community programs needing consistent gear, or for home users who want an all-weather solution that holds up to powerful shots. If your frame matches the official 72" dimensions and you use standard 2 5/8" street hockey balls, this Franklin Sports net is a practical, easy-to-install upgrade that keeps games flowing and practices productive.
