Franklin Sports throw down base set baseball kickball orange, 5-piece portable rubber diamond — lightweight, durable

Franklin Sports Throw Down Base Set is a 5-piece portable rubber diamond—three bases, a home plate and a pitcher's rubber—designed to create a full baseball, softball, or kickball field in seconds.

Lightweight and rugged, this orange Throw Down set makes it quick to mark a diamond on grass, dirt, sand or asphalt without stakes or tools. The rubber pieces resist tearing and stay put when stepped on, so coaches, parents and players can set practice stations or pick-up games in minutes. Because the bases are compact and easy to carry, they’re ideal for travel teams, school recess, neighborhood games, and backyard play.

How quickly can I set up a legal-looking diamond?

It takes only a few minutes to lay out a clear, playable infield—no measuring tools required unless you want regulation distances. Arrange the three bases, place the home plate and pitcher's rubber where you prefer, and your diamond is ready.

• Five pieces cover the full infield: 3 bases, home plate, pitcher's rubber.
• No anchoring needed—throw down and play immediately.
• Use adjustable spacing for T-ball, youth, or adult distances.
• Works on grass, dirt, sand and paved surfaces.

Will the bases hold up when players slide or step on them?

The set is molded from durable rubber formulated to resist ripping and withstand repeated foot contact. While they are not intended for aggressive anchoring, they perform well for normal play, training drills and casual sliding.

• High-quality rubber construction reduces tearing and abrasion.
• Thin, flexible profile lies flat to minimize tripping hazards.
• Designed for repeated use on varied surfaces without deforming.
• Replaceable and affordable compared to permanent bases.

Can I carry these bases to games or practices easily?

Yes—each piece is light enough to toss in a bag or trunk, making the set highly portable for away practices, vacations, or spontaneous park pickup games. The compact size means they don’t take up much storage space at home or in a team equipment bin.

• Lightweight rubber pieces pack into sports bags or car trunks.
• No tools, stakes or extra gear required for setup.
• Bright orange color improves visibility on most surfaces.
• Great for coaches running multiple practice stations quickly.

What types of games and players are best suited for this set?

The Throw Down Base Set works for a wide range of base games—T-ball, youth baseball, softball, kickball and casual adult leagues. It’s optimized for training, drills, pick-up play and environments where permanent bases aren’t practical.

• Youth teams and travel coaches who need portable equipment.
• Parents setting up backyard or beach games.
• Physical education teachers and playground supervisors.
• Anyone organizing casual leagues or practice sessions outdoors.
