FresKaro climbing carabiners, 25kN UIAA auto-lock quickdraws, Space Grey 2pc, large aluminum twist-lock

FresKaro Climbing Carabiner Clips are a pair of UIAA-certified, 25kN auto-locking aluminum carabiners engineered for rock climbing, rappelling, and mountaineering.

These large, twist-lock carabiners combine high tensile strength with a lightweight design so climbers can trust secure connections without added bulk. Certified to meet UIAA standards and tested for major-axis forces up to 25kN, the FresKaro clips use a two-way quick-lock barrel that relocks automatically and resists rusting in wet environments. The set arrives as a convenient two-pack in gray, sized to fit harnesses, belay devices, and rigging hardware for both indoor and outdoor use.

How do these carabiners lock and unlock safely?

The FresKaro carabiners use a twist-and-push barrel mechanism that locks automatically when you release pressure. To open, twist the barrel and push the gate against the spring; when released it returns to the locked position, reducing the chance of accidental openings.

• Two-way twist barrel for quick single-handed operation
• Automatic re-locking once pressure is released
• Smooth gate action to avoid hang-ups when clipping
• Keylock nose design reduces snagging on ropes and gear

What strength and safety standards do these meet?

Each carabiner is UIAA certified and rated to 25kN on the major axis, with a tested cross-load rating around 6kN. They’re produced from aircraft-grade aluminum and verified on tensile testing equipment to confirm current strength claims.

• Major axis strength: 25kN (≈5621 lbs)
• Cross‑load strength approximately 6kN
• Material: rust-resistant aircraft-grade aluminum
• Independent mechanical testing for quality assurance

How do these carabiners perform in wet or harsh environments?

FresKaro carabiners are made from corrosion-resistant raw materials and finished with a smooth surface that stands up to rain, snow, and abrasive use. The anti-corrosion treatment and polished gate reduce rough edges and help prevent blisters or snags when handling gear.

• Rust-resistant aluminum alloy for outdoor durability
• Smooth gate and barrel finish for comfortable handling
• Reliable operation after exposure to moisture and grit
• Low-maintenance: rinse and dry to extend service life

What are the size and weight details I should expect?

These large carabiners balance capacity and portability: each clip weighs about 2.05 oz and measures roughly 3.93" tall with a gate opening near 0.66". The profile fits harness gear loops while keeping pack weight to a minimum.

• Net weight per carabiner: ~2.05 oz (58 g)
• Height: 3.93 inches; width range: 2.3" to 1.77"
• Gate opening: approximately 0.66 inches
• Sold as a 2-pack in gray for backups or partner use

Who is this for? Climbers, mountaineers, and outdoor enthusiasts who need dependable, certified locking carabiners that are light enough for multi-pitch climbs yet sturdy for rigging and rappels. These are suitable for gym climbers upgrading safety gear, alpine climbers requiring corrosion-resistant hardware, and anyone who values quick one-handed operation and automatic relocking. They are not medical devices and should be inspected regularly and retired according to industry guidelines.
