GAMMA Starting Clamp for Stringing Machines — Heavy-Duty 95 lb Spring Clamp, Secure Grip for Tennis & Badminton

The GAMMA Sports Starting Clamp is a spring‑action gripper that secures string ends and can hold up to 95 pounds of tension for tennis and badminton stringing jobs.

Whether you rebuild racquets in a home workshop or run a pro stringing service, a reliable starting clamp speeds setup and prevents slippage while you finish the job. This compact, heavy‑duty clamp installs quickly as an extra starting device or a short‑string tensioning tool on any manual or electronic stringing machine. Durable spring action and wide compatibility make it a practical addition to a technician’s toolkit.

How does the GAMMA starting clamp improve the stringing workflow?

The clamp holds the string firmly so you can move between crosses and mains without losing tension, reducing rework and speeding overall stringing time. Its spring mechanism grips consistently, which helps maintain a steady reference tension while you work.

• Prevents slippage during tie‑offs and pattern changes
• Quickly attaches as an auxiliary clamp or substitute starting clamp
• Consistent spring pressure reduces the need for readjustments

Is this clamp compatible with my machine and strings?

The GAMMA starting clamp is designed to work with a wide range of string types and most manual or electronic stringing machines. Its simple spring design accommodates different diameters and handles common racquet and shuttlecock strings without modification.

• Works with nylon, polyester, multifilament, and natural gut strings
• Fits most stringing machine setups as an auxiliary clamp
• Durable spring maintains grip across repeated uses

How much tension can the clamp hold and when should I use it?

This clamp reliably secures tension up to 95 pounds, making it suitable for typical tennis and badminton string tensions as well as tasks that require extra holding strength. Use it when starting a job, when you need to hold short string segments, or as a backup clamp during complex patterns.

• Rated to hold tension up to 95 lb for secure anchoring
• Ideal for holding short sections while finishing the pattern
• Useful as a secondary clamp to protect preset tensions

What maintenance or care does the start clamp need?

The clamp requires minimal upkeep: keep the spring free of grime and inspect the jaws for wear to ensure a steady grip. Occasional cleaning and light lubrication on the pivot helps preserve smooth action and long service life.

• Wipe jaws clean after heavy use to remove residue
• Inspect the spring and pivot for corrosion or deformation
• Apply a drop of light oil to the pivot if movement stiffens

Who is this for: Stringing technicians, club stringers, and racquet hobbyists who want a dependable, compact clamp to speed setups and secure short strings will benefit most from the GAMMA Sports Starting Clamp. It’s a practical, affordable tool for anyone who needs consistent holding power and a simple way to preserve tension while finishing tennis or badminton string patterns.
