Glacier Tek Cool Vest, Royal Blue, 59°F Phase-Change Cooling, 8 Rechargeable Packs

The Glacier Tek Cool Vest is a wearable cooling system that holds a steady 59°F for up to 2.5 hours using eight rechargeable phase-change packs.

Designed to pull heat away from your core, this vest uses reusable cooling packs fitted into four interior pockets for targeted torso cooling. Lightweight and adjustable, it keeps clothing dry while providing continuous cooling in hot, humid, or active conditions. Recharge options include ice water, freezer, or refrigerator so you can refresh packs quickly between uses.

How does the Glacier Tek Cool Vest keep me comfortable during long hot days?

The vest works by positioning insulated phase-change packs against major torso areas to draw heat away from your body. The packs maintain a constant 59°F temperature while slowly absorbing heat, delivering a sustained cooling sensation without wetness. Because the packs are reusable, you can swap or recharge them to extend cooling through a long shift or workout.

• Four interior pockets hold packs snug to the chest and back for efficient heat transfer.
• Packs use phase-change material to hold a steady 59°F until fully warmed by ambient conditions.
• Works in humid environments and keeps outer clothing dry.
• Recharge options: ~20 minutes in ice water, 1 hour in freezer, 2 hours in refrigerator.

How fast do the cooling packs recharge and what are the recharge options?

Recharge time depends on the method you choose: ice water replenishes packs quickly, the freezer is faster than the refrigerator, and a fridge is convenient when you’re not in a rush. Quick recharges let you swap packs during breaks, while freezer storage readies a full set for the next shift or outing.

• Ice water recharge: about 20 minutes for rapid turnaround.
• Freezer recharge: roughly 1 hour for full coldness.
• Refrigerator recharge: about 2 hours, handy for overnight prep.
• Spare pack sets and booster packs available to extend continuous cooling time.

Will the vest fit me and how adjustable is it?

The Glacier Tek vest is built to be adaptable with adjustable shoulder straps, dual side straps, and a robust front zipper to fine-tune fit and mobility. One size fits most, but extenders are recommended for chest sizes above 52 inches. The low overall weight—under five pounds when fully loaded—lets you move freely during work or sport.

• Dual side adjustment straps for torso fit customization.
• Adjustable shoulder straps for height and comfort control.
• Heavy-duty front zipper for secure closure and quick on/off.
• Extender set recommended for chests over 52 inches; one-size-fits-most design.

How can I maximize cooling duration for long shifts or events?

If you need longer cooling than the standard pack duration, plan to rotate in spare packs or use Glacier Tek booster sets. Reducing the number of active packs per pocket lowers weight and can be sufficient for less demanding indoor tasks. Carrying a cooled spare set or access to ice water/ freezer during breaks extends usable time easily.

• Purchase an extra pack set or booster kit to swap during breaks.
• Use one pack per pocket for lighter cooling and longer endurance.
• Keep spare packs chilled in a cooler, freezer, or with ice water for rapid swaps.
• Fully loaded vest weighs under five pounds—manageable for active users.
