This 16-inch Glerc Petal bicycle blends playful styling with practical features so a young rider can learn with confidence. Built with a low step-through frame, an adjustable saddle, and ergonomic brake levers sized for small hands, the bike balances safety-focused touches with decorative details like a doll seat, flowing handlebar streamers and a woven front basket. About 85% pre-assembled out of the box, it’s ready for final setup in approximately 25 minutes and weighs 26 pounds.

How does the Glerc Petal help a child learn to ride?

The bike provides supportive learning features without overwhelming a beginner. Training wheels give initial balance while the coaster brake lets a child stop by pedaling backward; when they're ready, the easy-grip hand brake introduces manual braking control.

• Dual-brake system: coaster (rear) brake plus front hand brake for progressive skill-building
• Low standover frame for safe mounting and dismounting
• Height-adjustable saddle to match growth and improve pedal reach
• Training wheels that can be removed as balance improves

What safety and comfort features are included?

Design choices focus on predictable braking, comfortable posture, and easy handling. The aluminum brake levers are sized for small hands, and the frame geometry keeps the rider centered for stable control.

• Aluminum, easy-to-grip hand brake tailored for little hands
• Low center of gravity and stable wheelbase to reduce tipping
• Padded adjustable saddle for comfort on longer rides
• Reflective accents on pedals and frame (where applicable) for visibility
