GoSports Sliding Mitt for Baseball & Softball, Adult Mitt, Black, Reinforced Neoprene with Dual Metal Plates

GoSports Baseball & Softball Sliding Mitt is a reinforced neoprene sliding glove with dual metal plates and an adjustable strap that protects your hand while sliding into bases.

Whether you’re stealing second or diving back to the bag, this adult-sized sliding mitt gives you solid coverage so you can focus on the play instead of worrying about scrapes or accidental cleating. Built from durable neoprene with two metal plates—one above the hand and one beneath—the mitt is made for repeated use and quick on/off between innings. Its universal fit works for both left- and right-handed players and packs small enough to keep in a back pocket during games.

How does the mitt protect my hand when sliding?

The mitt combines a reinforced synthetic fabric shell with two thick metal plates that disperse impact and shield skin from friction and spikes. The design covers the top and bottom of your hand, reducing exposure to road rash and contact with cleats.

• Dual metal plates for front-and-back protection
• Reinforced neoprene resists wear from repeated slides
• Wraparound coverage for fingers, knuckles, and palm

Will it fit my hand and stay secure during play?

The mitt features an adjustable heavy-duty strap that tightens around the wrist to prevent shifting or slipping during a slide. Its universal shape accommodates both left- and right-handed players without needing separate models.

• Quick-adjust strap for a snug, customized fit
• Universal design works on either hand
• Compact profile designed to remain comfortable in a back pocket

How durable is the sliding mitt for regular games and practice?

Materials and construction are chosen for repeated field use: the neoprene resists abrasion and the metal plates retain their protective contour over time. The mitt is intended to withstand frequent sliding and quick transitions between plays.

• Reinforced seams to reduce tearing
• Thick metal plates that hold up under impact
• Neoprene body for both flexibility and durability

How do I choose the right size and care for it?

Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of your palm to determine adult versus youth sizing; adult fits are 6.5 inches and above. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and air-dry—avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing to preserve the plates and neoprene.

• Size guide: adult 6.5 inches and up, youth 6.5 inches and below
• Spot clean with mild soap and water when needed
• Air-dry away from direct heat to protect materials

It’s ideal for base stealers, aggressive field runners, or anyone who wants a compact, reliable protective option they can keep in their back pocket between plays.
