Introduce a young player to cricket with a lightweight set built for safety, portability and outdoor play. This kit balances durable plastic construction with kid-friendly proportions so beginners can learn batting, bowling and wicket practice without heavy gear. Everything packs into a shoulder carry bag for easy transport to parks, gardens or holiday trips.

What comes in the GM Opener set and why does it suit beginners?

The set contains a moulded 24-inch size 2 cricket bat, one soft cricket ball, three 16-inch all-weather stumps and a matching stumps base. Components are made from strong plastic so they’re light, safer for children and resistant to wet conditions.

• Moulded 24" (size 2) bat — easier grip and swing for small hands
• Soft cricket ball — reduced impact and safer play
• Three 16" stumps and a weighted base — quick setup and stable wickets
• Durable plastic — suitable for grass, sand and wet weather
• Shoulder carry bag — convenient storage and transport

How does this set make learning cricket simpler on busy days?

The GM Opener is designed for fast setup and immediate play so you can practice in short blocks. Lightweight parts mean one adult or older child can carry the whole kit and set up the stumps in minutes.

• Quick-assemble base and stumps — minimal tools or effort required
• Compact bag — carry to school, park or holiday spots
• All-weather materials — play in damp or sunny conditions without damage
• Size-appropriate bat — shorter learning curve for batting technique

Is the GM Opener durable enough for repeated outdoor play?

Yes — the components are made of strong plastic engineered to resist impacts and moisture. The base and stumps are built to stay upright during casual games while the bat withstands repeated strikes from the soft ball.

• Impact-resistant bat construction — holds shape through regular use
• All-weather stumps and base — won’t warp when wet
• Soft ball reduces damage risk — suitable for hard surfaces too
• Washable surfaces — rinse or wipe clean after play

How portable is the set for family outings and lessons?

Portability is a core feature: all pieces pack into the included carry bag that fits over the shoulder. The lightweight bat and compact stumps keep the whole kit small enough for car trunks, holiday luggage or park backpacks.

• Shoulder carry bag — hands-free transport
• Compact stumps and base — stackable for storage
• Lightweight bat and ball — easy for children to carry
• No extra equipment needed — ready-to-play out of the bag
