Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 Bowling Ball, 15 Pounds, HK22 Aggression Hybrid, Gas Mask Core

The Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 is a 15-pound tour-level bowling ball that blends the Black Widow punch with a refined, more controlled backend motion for consistent shots.

The Tour V1 updates Hammer's iconic Black Widow lineage with a focus on control without losing the hitting power that earned the name its reputation. It combines the HK22 base with Aggression Hybrid additives and a reengineered Gas Mask core to read lanes earlier and produce a steadier, more predictable reaction. Finished with a 500/1000/3000 Siaair Micro Pad surface, this ball is tuned to perform across varying oil patterns while preserving the Widow's signature strength.

How does the Tour V1 differ from previous Black Widow models?

The Tour V1 retains the Black Widow's aggressive identity but reduces volatility through core and differential changes. Designers lowered the differential by over 20 points and removed the flip block, producing a smoother, more controllable roll while keeping impact energy high.

• Reengineered Gas Mask core for steadier motion
• Lowered differential to minimize unexpected backend flare
• HK22 base with Aggression Hybrid for earlier lane read
• Tour-focused coverstock finish for balanced traction

What lane conditions is this ball best for?

The Tour V1 excels on medium to heavy oil where you need a reliable mid-lane read and a dependable backend reaction. Its hybrid additives and micro pad finish help the ball transition smoothly from oil to friction, offering predictable shape without snappy overreactions.

• Medium-to-heavy oil patterns
• When a controlled yet strong backend is required
• Useful as a primary ball for tournament play or a control option in a deep bag
• Works well when consistency on the backend is a priority

How will this ball affect my shot shape and pin carry?

You can expect a more controlled entry angle into the pocket with sustained energy at impact. The combination of a refined core and Aggression Hybrid additives produces a solid, continuous motion that still generates the carry potential bowlers rely on from a Black Widow.

• Smoother transition from mid-lane to backend
• Consistent entry angle for reliable pocket hits
• Retained hitting power for strong pin carry
• Less tendency to over-flare or hook unpredictably

What surface and maintenance steps are recommended?

The ball ships with a 500/1000/3000 Siaair Micro Pad finish that balances traction and length. Routine cleaning after sessions and occasional light resurfacing will keep the coverstock responsive and extend consistent performance.

• Clean with a quality ball cleaner after each use
• Use a microfiber towel and cleaner for lane oil removal
• Light resurfacing (micro pad or polish) maintains desired reaction
• Store away from extreme heat or cold to protect coverstock

Who is this for: The Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 is aimed at intermediate to advanced bowlers and competitors who want the Black Widow's raw power but in a more playable, tour-tuned package. If you need a ball that reads the lane early, delivers a controlled backend motion, and still packs punch at the pins, the Tour V1 is designed to fit into a performance-focused bag.
