This compact game reimagines classic shuffleboard for the trail: instead of a heavy board, players slide weighted metal rings along a 9mm nylon rope stretched between two solid anchor points. Designed and built with Helinox attention to lightweight strength, StringTrees collapses small enough to slip into a daypack while still offering clear scoring zones and rugged hardware for repeated outdoor use.
StringTrees sets up in minutes using two solid anchors 14–20 feet (4.3–6.1 m) apart such as trees, posts, or vehicle tie-points. The kit includes a strong braided rope and easy-to-attach webbing, so you can tension the playline quickly and get straight to scoring.
The set contains eight metal rings engineered to slide smoothly and resist dents, a robust nylon rope, and webbing to protect anchor points. Materials are chosen to tolerate abrasive outdoor conditions while staying lightweight — Helinox backs the product with a five-year warranty for manufacturing defects.
Players aim to land rings in one of three scoring zones along the rope; points are tallied after each round. Games are designed for 2–6 players and use simple scoring until a team reaches 21 points, with a required two-point lead to secure victory for a balanced playing experience.
StringTrees trades bulk for portability while preserving strategic gameplay: it’s far lighter and easier to carry than a wooden board, yet offers the same satisfaction of precise shots and ring control. Because it requires only two anchors, you can play almost anywhere — from campsites and beaches to backyards and parking-lot tailgates.
Who is this for? StringTrees appeals to outdoor enthusiasts, campers, tailgaters, and anyone who wants a low-weight, social lawn game that travels easily. If you prioritize lightweight gear, quick setup, and durable construction for spontaneous group play, this Helinox kit gives you strategic ring-toss fun without the bulk of traditional shuffleboard.
Q: How long does setup take?
A: Typical setup takes about 5 minutes: attach webbing to anchors, tension the rope, and arrange rings.
Q: Can I play on uneven ground?
A: Yes — as long as you have two stable anchor points 14–20 feet apart, surface slope won’t prevent play.
