HOENCRAFT Life Preserver Throw Ring, Orange-Red, 23 INCH, 98.4 ft Floating Rope, Reflective Tape

HOENCRAFT 23" Life Preserver Ring is a non-inflatable, high-buoyancy throwable rescue ring with 98.4 ft of floating rope for reliable pool and open-water safety.

This compact yet heavy-duty lifebuoy combines a rugged Oxford-cloth shell, closed-cell polyurethane foam core and a long braided polypropylene rope to give fast, predictable flotation when seconds matter. At a 23-inch outer diameter and a 13.8-inch inner opening, the ring balances easy handling with a high load capacity. Reflective sewn tape and an attached perimeter grab line improve visibility and make passing the ring simpler in low light or rough conditions. The construction is non-inflatable, so there's no pump, no air loss and minimal maintenance—ideal for busy pools, marinas or shorelines.

How does this lifering perform during a rescue?

The HOENCRAFT throw ring is built for immediate use. The high-density polyurethane closed-cell foam provides consistent buoyancy even under load, while the included 98.4-foot floating rope allows a rescuer to maintain distance and control while pulling someone to safety.

• Non-inflatable foam core resists punctures and keeps flotation reliable.
• 98.4 ft multi-strand braided polypropylene rope floats and resists abrasion.
• Hand-sewn reflective tape increases night and low-light visibility.
• Nylon perimeter rope offers an easy grab surface for the person in distress.

What materials and specs should I expect?

Materials are chosen for durability and long service life in marine environments. A hard-wearing Oxford cloth outer shell resists tears, the internal foam is closed-cell for water resistance, and the rescue rope uses high-strength polypropylene braid.

• Outer diameter: 23 inches; inner diameter: 13.8 inches for easy grasping.
• Bearing weight capacity: 1300 lb; unit weight: approximately 6 lb.
• Rope length: 98.4 ft floating polypropylene rescue line.
• 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.

How do I maintain and store the throw ring?

Because the unit is non-inflatable, maintenance is minimal but important for longevity. Rinse off salt, chlorine or sand after use, check the rope and stitching for wear, and keep the ring out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the fabric and reflective tape.

• Rinse with fresh water after marine or pool exposure to reduce salt and chemical corrosion.
• Inspect braid, seams and reflective tape before each season or heavy use.
• Store hung or on a shelf away from UV-intensive direct sunlight to prolong fabric life.
• Replace the rope or ring if you find fraying, deep cuts or compromised foam.

Can this be used for decoration as well as safety?

Yes—the HOENCRAFT lifering is designed to be functional and visually appealing. Its classic buoy design and colorway make it suitable for nautical décor when not deployed for safety, so it can hang poolside, on a deck, or in a boathouse.

• Lightweight enough to hang on walls or railings as décor.
• Reflective strips add a nautical accent and increase visibility.
• Durable finish holds up to display plus occasional outdoor exposure.

Who is this for: Pool operators, homeowners with backyard pools, small-boat operators, marinas and lakeside property owners who want a dependable, low-maintenance throwable flotation device. It’s also a practical choice for lifeguards and caretakers who need a compact, ready-to-use rescue ring with a long floating rope and clear visibility features.
