Howies Black Hockey Tape, 1 in x 20 yd, 5-Pack — Cloth Stick Tape for Blades & Handles

Howies Black Cloth Hockey Tape is a durable, pro-grade adhesive tape sold as a five-roll pack (1" x 20 yd each) that provides tacky, long-lasting grip for hockey sticks, lacrosse shafts, and baseball bat handles.

Whether you re-tape between periods, customize blade feel, or reinforce a bat handle, this cloth tape is engineered for on-ice and on-field performance. It combines a tight woven cloth with a heavy-duty adhesive to resist tearing, shed water, and hold its shape through games, practices, and cold conditions. The rolls are hand-tearable for quick application and remove cleanly so you can swap tape jobs without residue or fuss.

How will this tape change my stick or bat grip?

The tacky cloth surface creates a consistent, non-slip contact point that improves control and confidence when handling the puck or ball. Players notice crisper puck feel and more stable stickhandling because the tape maintains a predictable texture from warm-up to the final whistle.

• Tacky cloth weave for secure, repeatable grip
• Consistent thickness that preserves shaft balance
• Reduces slippage on wet or cold surfaces

Is this tape durable enough for heavy play and cold arenas?

Yes — the tape uses a balanced 50/50 blend of polyethylene and cotton in a dense weave to resist abrasions, slashes, and general wear. The adhesive is formulated to stay bonded in low temperatures, so tape stays put through shifts and checks instead of fraying or unpeeling.

• Tight weave with 68 strands per inch for tear resistance
• Heavy-duty glue that holds in cold, wet conditions
• Designed to survive contact and routine abuse

How easy is it to apply and remove the tape?

Application is fast: the cloth tears neatly by hand and lays flat without curling, so you can wrap blades, shafts, or handles quickly between periods. When it’s time for a fresh job, the adhesive pulls away cleanly without leaving sticky residue, avoiding buildup and preserving stick finish.

• Hand-tearable rolls for quick locker-room taping
• Applies flat with minimal fraying
• Removes cleanly to protect equipment finish

What sizes and uses are included with this pack?

This offering contains five rolls of 1" wide by 20 yards each — a practical size for wrapping blade edges, heel-to-toe grips, or bat handles. The black color is a classic choice for blending with tape jobs or masking wear, and the quantity keeps you stocked through practices and multiple games.

• Five rolls per pack, 1" x 20 yards per roll
• Suitable for hockey sticks, lacrosse shafts, and baseball bats
• Black finish for a sleek, uniform look
