KAP K7 SEVEN HydroGrip Water Polo Ball Size 5 — Yellow/Red, NCAA & NFHS Official Grip

The KAP7 Size 5 HydroGrip is the official NCAA and NFHS water polo game ball engineered for reliable grip, consistent flight, and long-lasting performance.

Built from KAP7's HydroGrip technology and precision-wound materials, this yellow/red Size 5 ball is specified for competitive play and training where consistent handling matters. It combines a water-reactant surface with hand-buffed texture and a reinforced nylon carcass so teams and athletes experience steady performance from warmups to championship matches.

How does the HydroGrip improve handling in wet match conditions?

The HydroGrip surface is formulated to slightly react with water, increasing tack where players need it most without making the ball overly sticky. Hand-buffing adds micro-texture that helps with secure passes, catches, and shots under pressure.

• Water-reactant polymer surface for increased wet traction
• Hand-buffed texture for more predictable contact
• Consistent feel across the ball for stable grip on passes and shots

Is this ball approved for official collegiate and high school competition?

Yes — the KAP7 HydroGrip in this configuration meets NCAA and NFHS specifications for official game play. It is manufactured to the size, weight, and performance standards used in women's collegiate and high school matches.

• NCAA-recognized for collegiate women's competition
• NFHS authenticated for high school girls' play
• Produced to standard competition size and weight tolerances

What construction features affect durability and flight consistency?

The ball's core uses a precision-wound nylon carcass that stabilizes shape and pressure over time. Combined with high-quality outer materials and careful assembly, the result is a ball that holds its roundness and predictable flight longer than typical alternatives.

• Precision-wound nylon carcass to maintain shape and pressure
• Quality bladder and seams for leak resistance and longevity
• Color-fast outer finish to retain visibility throughout seasons

How does the color and look support team play and visibility?

The yellow/red color scheme provides high contrast in pool environments, helping players, officials, and spectators track the ball during fast sequences. Teams can also use the vivid design to align with club colors and increase recognition in practices or televised matches.

• High-contrast yellow/red panels improve in-pool visibility
• Distinctive look aids quick orientation in play
• Color options are useful for team identity and drills
