Kelty Cabana beach cabana Malachite/Golden Oak, under 7 lb, quick setup with adjustable walls and mesh windows

Kelty Cabana is a lightweight beach cabana that sets up in minutes, gives adjustable privacy and ventilation, and delivers reliable sun and wind protection for beach, pool, or backyard use.

Designed as an updated shelter for 2020, the Kelty Cabana blends quick-pitch backpacking tech with hard-wearing materials to create a versatile shade tent. It packs down into a duffel-style sack, weighs under 7 pounds, and includes stakes and sandbags so you can anchor it on sand or grass. With multiple mesh windows and toggleable wall panels, this cabana balances airflow, visibility and privacy for families, solo beachgoers, and festival attendees.

How does the Cabana make beach days easier?

Fast corner technology and three wrapped fiberglass poles attach to the exterior to form a sturdy frame that stands up to typical seaside breezes. Setup uses simple pole attachment points for a predictable pitch; teardown is equally straightforward, and the stuff sack has a wide "shark mouth" opening for quick packing. The result is less time wrestling with gear and more time enjoying the shore.

• Quick Corner construction for a fast, repeatable setup
• Three fiberglass poles for a stable frame
• Wide-mouth stuff sack for simple packing and transport
• Weighs under 7 pounds for easy carrying

What kind of protection and comfort does it provide?

The Cabana uses a durable 68D polyester floor and fly to block sun and resist abrasion from sand and rocks. Three large mesh windows let you tune airflow to stay cool while keeping insects and blowing sand at bay. Adjustable front and side wall panels offer privacy when you need it, whether changing a swimsuit or creating a sheltered naptime spot for a toddler.

• 68D polyester floor and fly for durable sun protection
• Three large mesh windows for ventilation and visibility
• Toggleable front wall and side window covers for privacy
• Included sandbags and stakes for secure anchoring

How durable and portable is the Kelty Cabana?

Built to resist repeated beach use, the Cabana’s materials and construction are meant to last through seasons of sun and travel. The sewn-in floor and reinforced corners withstand normal wear, and the cabana packs into a duffel-style sack that can be carried over the shoulder. At under 7 pounds, it’s light enough for one person to take from car to shoreline without strain.

• Reinforced seams and hard-wearing 68D polyester fabric
• Packable duffel-style sack with easy-access opening
• Lightweight under 7 pounds for single-person transport
• Stakes and sandbags included to extend usable conditions

Can the Cabana handle different uses beyond the beach?

Yes—its combination of quick setup, ventilation control, and privacy features makes it suitable for poolside lounging, backyard shade, outdoor festivals, or picnics. The Cabana’s compact pack size and included anchoring accessories let you adapt it to varied ground types and events without extra gear. It’s intended as a multipurpose shelter rather than a heavy-duty expedition tent.

• Works at beaches, pools, parks, festivals, and backyards
• Included accessories make anchoring on sand or soil easy
• Designed for day-use comfort and privacy, not long-term living
