Lake Placid Cascade men's figure ice skates Black, Size 10 — reinforced ankle support, stainless steel blade

The Lake Placid Cascade Men's Figure Ice Skate is a supportive, entry-to-intermediate black figure skate with reinforced ankle support, a waterproof sole and a stainless steel blade for stable skating.

Built for recreational skaters who want dependable fit and comfort, these Lake Placid Cascade skates combine a synthetic vinyl exterior with plush velvet lining and extended counter construction to improve stability on the ice. The design balances warmth and structure: woven liners and comfort padding reduce pressure points while firm ankle support and a reinforced heel keep the foot aligned during turns and stops.

How do these skates improve balance and ankle control?

The Cascade skates use extended counters and reinforced ankle support to resist roll and keep the heel locked in place, which helps skaters maintain better edge control. A firm synthetic upper works with the lining and padding to create a secure, comfortable hold around the lower leg.

• Extended counter construction for a more stable heel cup
• Reinforced ankle support reduces lateral movement
• Firm synthetic upper for consistent structure
• Comfort padding to prevent hot spots while holding the foot steady

Are these skates warm and comfortable for long sessions?

Yes—velvet woven liners plus internal comfort padding provide insulation and cushioning for extended practice sessions. The materials are chosen to trap heat while still offering breathability so feet stay warm without excessive moisture buildup.

• Velvet lining for soft, snug interior feel
• Woven liners help wick minor moisture away from the foot
• Comfort padding around the collar and tongue reduces pressure points

What makes the Cascade blade and sole suitable for recreational skating?

The skates are fitted with a stainless steel blade that resists rust and holds an edge suitable for figure skating basics. A waterproof sole keeps water from seeping into the boot, protecting the internal materials and helping the skate last through repeated sessions on wet ice.

• Stainless steel blade for durability and consistent performance
• Factory-mounted for ready-to-skat setup out of the box
• Waterproof sole protects boot core from moisture damage

How should I choose the right size and care for these skates?

Lake Placid Cascade skates fit true to size for most recreational skaters, but trying them on with the socks you plan to wear is best. After skating, dry blades and allow liners to air out to extend the life of the materials and prevent odors.

• Try on with performance or thick wool socks for accurate fit
• Dry blades and wipe down soles after each use
• Store with blade guards for transport and soft covers while stored

Who is this for? The Lake Placid Cascade Men's Figure Ice Skate is ideal for beginner to intermediate recreational skaters who want a stable, warm skate with dependable hardware. It suits weekend rink-goers, new figure skaters practicing basic jumps and spins, and anyone wanting a comfortable black skate with a waterproof sole and long-lasting stainless steel blade.
