Leader Accessories Youth USCG-Approved Life Jacket, Blue, 50-90 lbs Adjustable Fit with Whistle

Leader Accessories Youth USCG-approved life jacket vest for 50–90 lb children provides reliable flotation, adjustable fit, and built-in safety features for boating and water play.

This youth life jacket from Leader Accessories is designed to meet U.S. Coast Guard standards while keeping comfort and wearability front of mind. Constructed with durable 200D x 118T nylon oxford and a mix of soft PVC foam in the front with lightweight EPE foam in the back, the vest balances buoyancy and flexibility. It’s intended for children weighing between 50 and 90 pounds and comes in three bright colors to improve visibility on the water.

What level of safety certification does this vest have?

The vest is U.S. Coast Guard approved (Approval No. 160.064/4371/0), meeting recognized standards for personal flotation devices. That approval confirms the design and tested buoyancy are suitable for the labeled weight range but doesn’t replace supervision.

• USCG approval number printed on the label
• Rated specifically for youth 50–90 lbs
• Meets regulatory buoyancy and construction tests

How does the fit and comfort work for active kids?

Adjustable chest belts and three heavy-duty buckles allow for a snug, secure fit that keeps the jacket in place during movement. The front features soft PVC foam for comfortable contact with the chest, while lightweight EPE foam in the back reduces bulk so kids can swim and play more freely.

• Three quick-release heavy-duty buckles for easy on/off
• Adjustable straps for a tailored fit as the child grows
• Soft front foam and low-profile back foam for mobility

Are there useful safety or convenience features included?

A small whistle is stored in an inner pocket to attract attention if needed, and the vest’s bright color options make the wearer easier to spot in the water. The back straps are designed to stay concealed for a cleaner profile and to reduce snagging on equipment.

• Whistle inside pocket for signaling
• Concealed-style back straps to reduce catching
• Available in blue, orange, or pink for visibility

How should I care for and maintain this life jacket?

Rinse with fresh water after use in salt or chlorinated water and air dry away from direct sunlight to preserve fabric and foam. Inspect buckles, straps, and the label regularly for wear, and store the vest flat or hanging to keep its shape.

• Rinse and air dry after each use
• Check buckles and straps before outings
• Store flat or on a hanger in a shaded area

Who this is for: Families and caregivers seeking a USCG-approved youth life jacket that balances certified flotation with everyday comfort for kids 50–90 pounds. It’s a practical choice for boating, kayaking, paddle sports, lakeside play, and general on-water supervision when you want an affordable, visible, and adjustable PFD. While the vest meets regulatory standards for buoyancy, active adult supervision is essential at all times when children are near water.
