Markwort Wizard Kicking Stix football holder — Red/White, weighted base & foldable portable design

The Markwort WIZARD KICKING STIX is a portable, wind-resistant football holder that mimics a human finger to steady the ball for placekicks on turf or grass.

Designed with input from pro kicker David Treadwell, this kicking aid combines a lightweight aluminum alloy top with a powder-coated steel base to balance portability and stability. Its foldable riveted legs collapse for compact storage and easy transport, while added weight in the base keeps the ball steady even in blustery conditions. Use it with or without a place-kick tee; the holder is engineered to position the ball consistently for repeatable practice and game-day preparation.

How does the WIZARD KICKING STIX improve consistency during kicking practice?

The holder simulates a human finger to give a predictable point of contact and angle for the ball, reducing variability between reps. Consistent ball placement helps kickers build repeatable mechanics and accurate distance control.

• Finger-shaped support aligns ball tip and angle.
• Weighted base minimizes tipping in wind.
• Works with or without a kicking tee for versatile drills.
• Aluminum and steel construction resists bending and wear.

Can I use this on different field surfaces and in windy conditions?

Yes. The WIZARD KICKING STIX is suited for both grass and astroturf thanks to its durable construction and weighted design. The added base weight and low profile reduce bounce and movement that wind or uneven surfaces can cause.

• Aluminum alloy top prevents damage to the ball.
• Powder-coated steel base is corrosion-resistant for outdoor use.
• Designed to stay steady on turf and natural grass.
• Lightweight to carry but heavy enough to hold position during kicks.

How portable and durable is the kicking holder for team use?

The unit folds flat using riveted legs for compact storage in bags or on sideline carts. Robust materials and a simple mechanical design mean it withstands repeated setup, transport, and heavy use by multiple players or coaches.

• Riveted folding legs snap open and shut for quick setup.
• Powder coating protects from chips and rust.
• Aluminum and steel mix balances weight and toughness.
• Tools-free design simplifies team drills and practice transitions.

Will it work with a place-kick tee or training block?

The WIZARD KICKING STIX is compatible with or without a place-kick tee or block. Use it alone to simulate a holder’s finger, or combine it with a tee for specialized height and trajectory practice.

• Designed to accept standard tee placement behind the ball.
• Offers realistic hold when no teammate is available to hold the ball.
• Enables drills that isolate leg swing, contact point, and follow-through.
• Useful in solo sessions and organized team practice alike.

Who is this for: The Markwort WIZARD KICKING STIX is ideal for high school, college, and club kickers, special teams coaches, and any player who wants consistent, transportable support for placekicks. It suits teams that practice on both turf and grass and coaches who need a durable, low-maintenance tool to speed up practice rotations and reinforce reliable ball placement.
