JDT Metdeinso Chain Breaker Tool is a compact, steel chain pin press designed to remove and install pins on single-strand chains #415, #428, #420, #41 and #40 safely and with precise alignment.
This lightweight chain press is built from solid steel with a satin-polished finish for corrosion resistance and smooth handling. It features a three-hole pilot groove CNC-machined bed that secures the chain and guides the driven pin, plus a strengthened screw pin for improved durability. The tool is sized to work in tight spaces and is intended for standard-duty chain maintenance — not for repeatedly forcing oversized or heavily worn master pins.
The unit’s CNC-cut pilot grooves hold the chain steady so the driving pin lines up accurately with the chain rivet. This alignment reduces slippage and limits lateral force that can bend pins or the tool screw. The compact frame allows access in cramped areas around sprockets and guide plates.
This chain press is sized for common single-strand chain standards #415, #428, #420, #41 and #40. It handles routine pin removal and installation for maintenance or link replacement on small motorcycles, go-karts, minibikes and similar light-duty drivetrains. It is not intended for heavy industrial chains or hardened rivet removal beyond standard service limits.
Who this tool is for: The JDT Metdeinso chain breaker is aimed at home mechanics, hobbyists and light-vehicle technicians who need a compact, reliable chain press for routine service on small single-strand chains. If you work on minibikes, go-karts, scooters or small motorcycles and want a precise, portable tool for link removal and pin fitting, this is a practical option — provided you avoid applying excessive force on heavy-duty rivets.
Q: Can this tool remove and reinstall master links?
A: Yes for standard single-strand master links on #415, #428, #420, #41 and #40 chains; avoid forcing oversized or damaged rivets.
Q: Do I need any other tools to operate it?
A: You only need a 1/4" hex wrench to drive the screw; the wrench is not included.
