Mikasa Soccer Ball Serious Match Ball, Size 5, Soft Synthetic Leather, Stitched with Butyl Bladder

The Mikasa Serious Soccer Ball (Green/White, Size 5) is a stitched, soft synthetic-leather match ball with a butyl bladder for long-lasting air retention and dependable play.

Designed for training sessions, recreational leagues, and players who want a forgiving touch without sacrificing durability, this Size 5 ball balances comfort and performance. The soft synthetic leather cover reduces sting on volleys and headers while the stitched construction holds shape under regular use. A butyl bladder supports steady pressure, though the ball ships deflated and requires an inflation pump (pump not included).

How does the Mikasa Serious Soccer Ball feel during play?

The soft synthetic leather cover is engineered to provide a cushioned contact that helps control and reduces discomfort on striking. Because it’s stitched rather than thermally bonded, the ball offers a slightly traditional response and predictable flight for practice and matches.

• Soft synthetic-leather surface for a softer touch.
• Stitched panels for a classic tactile feedback.
• Size 5 proportions suitable for age 12+ and adult play.

Will the ball stay inflated through training and games?

The Serious Soccer Ball uses a butyl bladder known for superior air retention compared with latex alternatives. That means fewer top-ups between sessions, making it convenient for teams and coaches organizing back-to-back drills.

• Butyl bladder designed for longer-lasting pressure.
• Reduced frequency of reinflation for consistent performance.
• Ships deflated—inflate to the recommended pressure before play.

What should I expect regarding durability and maintenance?

Stitched synthetic-leather construction stands up to repeated use on grass and training fields. To extend life, avoid prolonged exposure to rough asphalt, extreme temperatures, and wet storage; wipe clean after use and maintain proper inflation.

• Stitched cover resists splitting under normal play.
• Clean with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive surfaces.
• Store inflated at room temperature for best longevity.

Is this ball ready out of the box and what accessories are needed?

The ball ships deflated to protect the bladder and save shipping space, so you’ll need a pump and a needle to inflate it. No pump is included, so plan to use a hand pump or electric inflator and check the recommended PSI before game time.

• Comes deflated—requires a ball pump and inflation needle.
• Recommended for standard Size 5 pressures used in training and matches.
• Green/white coloring gives clear flight visibility on grass fields.

Who is this for? Players, coaches, and clubs seeking an affordable, performance-oriented Size 5 soccer ball that emphasizes a softer touch and dependable air retention will appreciate the Mikasa Serious Soccer Ball. It’s a practical choice for youth and adult training, recreational leagues, and pick-up games where comfort, durability, and steady inflation matter.
