Minn Kota MKP-39 Weedless Prop for QUEST Series One Size — 4.5" Weed-Shedding Replacement, Includes Pin & Nut

Minn Kota MKP-39 Weedless Prop for QUEST Series is a 100% weed-shedding 4-1/2" replacement propeller that keeps your QUEST trolling motor moving through heavy vegetation while preserving battery life.

If you fish waters with thick grass, filamentous algae, or lily pads, a standard prop can quickly foul and sap power. The MKP-39 was engineered specifically for Minn Kota QUEST Series lower units to push through dense growth without weed wrapping, reduce drag at low speeds, and include all installation hardware so you can swap it in quickly.

How does the MKP-39 prevent weeds from wrapping?

The MKP-39 uses a weedless blade profile and smooth hub design that deflects vegetation instead of catching it. That shape stops strands from snagging on blade roots and lowers, maintaining consistent thrust even when you crawl slowly through cover.

• Streamlined blade edges that shed weeds rather than trapping them
• Enclosed hub and blade junction to minimize snag points
• Optimized pitch for low-speed torque without increasing wrap risk

Will this prop fit my QUEST Series motor and what’s included?

The MKP-39 is built for 4-1/2" QUEST Series lower units, so it installs with correct blade clearance and alignment. The package includes the prop pin, nut, and washer needed for a complete installation—no extra hardware required.

• Designed exclusively for 4-1/2" QUEST lower units
• Includes prop pin, locking nut, and washer for immediate installation
• Direct-fit replacement requires no modification to the lower unit

How does this prop affect battery use and motor performance?

By preventing vegetation from wrapping, the MKP-39 reduces drag that otherwise forces the motor to draw extra current. That means more efficient thrust through weeds and longer run times per battery charge, especially during slow trolling or catch-and-release retrievals.

• Lower power draw in heavy vegetation compared with wrapped standard props
• Maintains steady thrust at slow speeds for controlled boat movement
• Durable construction sustains performance over repeated encounters with weeds

How easy is it to install and maintain?

Installation is straightforward: remove your existing 4-1/2" QUEST prop, slide on the MKP-39, and secure it with the included pin, nut, and washer. Maintenance is minimal—periodic rinsing and inspection for fishing line or lodged debris keeps it working reliably.

• Quick swap using the included prop pin, nut, and washer
• Simple visual checks after outings keep performance optimal
• Designed to minimize entanglement so cleaning is infrequent and easy

Who is this for? The Minn Kota MKP-39 is ideal for anglers and guides who regularly operate QUEST Series trolling motors in weedy or vegetation-heavy waters and want a hassle-free, energy-efficient propeller solution. If you need a direct-fit, low-maintenance prop that preserves battery life and keeps you moving at slow speeds through thick growth, this weedless prop is built for that job.
