NedFoss Smilodon 8.6" Folding Pocket Knife, Damascus Steel + Blue Resin Handle, 4.0" 67-Layer Blade HRC 59–61

NedFoss Smilodon Damascus Pocket Knife is a handcrafted 8.6" folding knife with 67-layer Damascus steel, a luminous resin 3D-relief handle, and a secure back-lock—designed as a functional everyday carry and striking collectible gift.

This Smilodon Damascus folding knife blends artisanal metalwork and decorative carving to deliver a practical cutting tool that also stands out as a keepsake. Built with 67-layer Damascus steel for a distinctive pattern and reliable edge-holding, the knife is paired with a glow-capable resin handle carved with traditional Tangcao and tiger motifs. Its compact full length and deep-carry clip make it suitable for daily carry, while the high-hardness blade and rust-resistant construction support outdoor use and display.

How is the blade crafted and what performance can I expect?

The blade is forged from 67 layers of Damascus steel, creating the characteristic banded pattern and enhancing toughness. Heat-treated to a hardness of HRC 59–61, it balances edge retention and ease of sharpening for everyday cutting tasks without requiring constant maintenance.

• 67-layer Damascus steel for visual pattern and structural strength
• 4.0" blade length with 0.12" thickness for versatile cutting
• Hardness rated 59–61 HRC for durable edge retention
• Rust-resistant finish suited to outdoor use and display

What makes the handle unique and how does it perform in low light?

The handle combines luminous resin with sculpted 3D reliefs—double-sided Tangcao and tiger carvings—for visual depth and nighttime visibility. The light-absorbing material emits a subtle glow in dim conditions, making the knife easier to locate while preserving an ornamental look when not glowing.

• Luminous resin handle that absorbs light and glows in low-light settings
• Double-sided 3D relief carvings for tactile grip and collectible appeal
• 4.6" handle length sized for secure one- or two-handed hold
• Balanced weight (6.9 oz) for comfortable everyday carry

How safe and convenient is it to carry and operate?

The Smilodon uses a secure back-lock mechanism for smooth, reliable opening and positive blade lockup during use. A deep-carry pocket clip keeps the knife discreet and readily accessible while minimizing print in a pocket.

• Secure back-lock design for safe, solid blade engagement
• Fast, smooth deployment for practical EDC use
• Deep-carry clip for low-profile pocket transport
• Compact full length (8.6") fits many pockets and packs

Is this knife suitable as a gift or collectible?

• Artisan Damascus pattern makes each knife visually unique
• Decorative carvings and glow handle add collectible value
