Nitecore NU33 700-Lumen Headlamp — USB-C Rechargeable, Lightweight Unibody with White, Red & High-CRI LEDs

The Nitecore NU33 is a compact, 700-lumen USB-C rechargeable headlamp that combines bright white output, high-CRI and red auxiliary LEDs, and a lightweight unibody build for versatile outdoor lighting.

The NU33 is designed for campers, hikers, and everyday carry users who need a small but powerful headlamp. It balances long runtime and rapid charging with a durable, aerodynamic polycarbonate and aluminum unibody that sheds heat efficiently. With multiple light sources and modes, the NU33 adapts to trail navigation, close-up tasks, and low-light preservation.

How bright is the NU33 and how far can it reach?

The NU33 produces up to 700 lumens from its primary white LED and achieves a maximum beam distance of approximately 147 yards, giving you dependable illumination for trails and campsite tasks. Brightness can be dialed down across several white outputs to extend runtime or reduce glare.

• Maximum output: 700 lumens for powerful long-range visibility
• Maximum beam distance: about 147 yards for trail spotting
• Multiple white outputs to balance brightness and runtime

What lighting modes does the NU33 offer for different situations?

The NU33 includes three separate light types: a primary white LED with multiple outputs plus SOS and beacon, a high-CRI auxiliary white LED for accurate color rendering close-up, and a red LED for night vision and signalling. These options let you switch between long throws, task lighting, and low-impact illumination quickly.

• Primary white LED: multi-level brightness, SOS, and beacon modes
• High-CRI auxiliary LED: truer colors for map reading and gear checks
• Red LED: preserves night vision and aids discreet tasks

How fast does it charge and how long will the battery last?

The NU33 uses a USB-C port for fast recharging; the internal battery charges fully in about 1.5 hours. Its built-in power is roughly equivalent to nine AAA cells, and depending on mode selection, runtime can extend up to 147 hours in low-output settings.

• USB-C fast charge: full in ~1.5 hours
• Battery capacity comparable to 9×AAA cells for sustained use
• Runtime: up to 147 hours on low settings

Is the NU33 rugged enough for outdoor use?

The NU33 pairs a streamlined unibody housing of polycarbonate and aluminum for efficient heat dissipation with an IP66 rating for water resistance, making it suitable for wet and rough conditions. The design keeps weight low without compromising durability, so it holds up during active adventures.

• Unibody polycarbonate and aluminum construction for heat control
• IP66 water resistance against heavy sprays and weather
• Compact, lightweight profile for comfortable all-day wear

Who is this for? The Nitecore NU33 is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, overnight backpackers, trail runners, and anyone wanting a lightweight, fast-charge headlamp with flexible lighting options. If you need a compact lamp that handles long treks, close-up tasks, and low-light preservation without bulk, the NU33 is a practical, reliable choice.
